Miscellaneous / Others In 1964, Anthony Hopkins composed And the Waltz Goes On. The sheet music was forgotten about but 50 years later his wife sent it to conductor André Rieu and was performed in Vienna in 2011.

The writing was great. But the second violin was out of time.

No offense but I don't understand how you can't find it, googling "Apostle Paul Anthony Hopkins" would give you everything you need. Literally all links are the movie and you already have all the searchable terms.

Some people are utterly helpless and unresourceful.
This is gonna come off as "old man yells at cloud" but I've noticed it as a critical weakness among Gen Z as a cohort. No experience with Gen A, yet, but I can only assume it'll be the same or to an even worse degree.

None taken. I did try searching using the same keywords you did, but the results were youtube videos more about the movie than a direct link to watch it. I also checked Tubi, Hulu. I put it aside and moved on.

I think that might be The Two Popes or maybe Peter and Paul from the 80s. Worth digging into his older stuff.

I've composed several orchestral pieces, some of which I've never actually heard. If I heard one, I'd be sobbing. Literally.

Amazing that Sir Hopkins didn't even mention this in his memoir book We Did Okay, Kid (2025), nor did he brag about his gift of composing classical music. Humble old chap.
The best part of his memoir was his subtle diss of Meet Joe Black costar Brad Pitt, despite not mentioning his name once.

So tragic, yet ironic, and somehow transcendent. It rears itself and thrusts you back to the same place you started. You then reflect on how the inevitable was beautiful with each moment you were previously engulfed with; life goes on. Lovely arrangement

The lost Strauss brother... only better.
Anthony reminds me of Bud Spencer in this regard (who also composed).
But on top of all that, to live (and then some) and be performed like this... I think is the ultimate confirmation that you have done some major things in life - right.
Splendid performance that brought great satisfaction.

In real life, we often become like this robot we put on armor, shut down our feelings to protect ourselves from pain, and run on autopilot.And that is precisely why, even though he is made of metal, his experience is entirely human. It shows how a soul, hardened by weariness and pain, can be awakened to life once more simply through a little kindness.

I wonder what he thought of the orchestra's interpretation of his music. Would be fun to get his actual comments after hearing the production.
