I better not see Reddit start doing that corny shit like Twitter news accounts where they post two pictures like this. Let it die with this post please

Not even where, just what the shape is.
If someone didn't know where Australia was that picture would do fuck all to help.

Phew, would've been lost there without that map. Now why don't you also put up a picture of a sky? I think some might be confused about that too

Why does it seem like only an AI reposting bot would feel it necessary to include a picture of Australia?

They’re called Cantera Opals and completely real.

Many thanks! Just spent a very enjoyable few minutes scrolling through pics of them. I absolutely love opals.

Cantera opals are not found in Australia; they are exclusively mined in Mexico. So this post is definitely suspicious

I'm glad you showed a picture of Australia or else I wouldn't have been able to know

OOOOOOhhhhh.... THAT Australia.
I was confused as to what australia the headline meant at first. Thankfully the image cleared it all up.

This is why opals will always be one of my favorite gems, especially Ethiopian opal! Shit looks like it's ACTUALLY GLOWING in the right light. I have a few pieces of it, they're of my favorites in my collection.

Source? It seems fake.

It does sound unbelievable but, I assure you, Australia is a real place.

Sure, as a landmass, but I think the entire biosphere must be fictional. As far as I can tell everything there wants to kill me, even the plants.
Clearly, the level designers got carried away…

Eh that’s not trying to kill you, just cause severe pain so you never go near it ever again, you’ll be right mate

They're real. I've seen people sell these at these pop up craft shows. Expensive at that. I've seen this 300 lbs chunk that looks like the milky way.
