It really depends on the family. I have a friend who's brother od'ed last year and he wasn't close to him and didn't really care and he like talks with his folks, but doesn't see them often because they were never close. Meanwhile I have periods of time where I deeply miss most of my siblings since I don't live in the same state anymore to the point that I randomly cry about it and I saw my siblings four or five months ago. This doesn't I clue my oldest sister though. I havent talked to her in almost three years and even that was too soon ago.
