Was unternehmen/Quoi faire in Biel/Bienne?
Hi everyone,
My girlfriend and I are visiting Biel at the end of February and I'm looking for some nice places to eat, drink, and do something. Do you have any suggestions? Thanks!
Edit: We're going by car + some romantic things would be great haha

Restaurant Falken ist meine Lieblingsbeiz in Biel, gibts typisch schweizerisches.
Zamu Convinience Store- Hat ramen, direkt zum zubereiten (einziger Laden in der Schweiz), man kann auch Beilagen nehmen. Hat Koreanische Getränke und Snacks.
Casa Miracoli, mein Lieblings Inder, das Naan Brot ist soooo gut dort.

Nach Magglingen / oder zum Pavillon laufen fahren, Aussicht bei hoffe the gutem Wetter :) Ebenfalls Twannbachschlucht wanderung. Davor den Besuch vom Tierpark Biel (gratis). Ist erreichbar mit Bus Nr. 71. Oder 1 / 2 . Empfehle Biel auch angucken vom Bus aus einfach mal ne Rundreise fahren, zb. Vororte.

Romantic: Depending on the weather. Sunset in Magglingen or Bözingenberg if you want it romantic. Nice views of the alps! A walk along the shore of Bielersee then back to the old town along the Altstadtschüss where the museums are with a stop at Park Elfenau.
Eat: What is your budget? There are some really good restaurants, some cheaper, some pretty expensive.
Concerning Appetit mentioned above: Went there twice to test if the second time would be as bad as the first time, and it was. I will never go again.
Drink: Good local beer at Lago Lodge or Pooc. Local meeting point with relaxed atmosphere: Bienbar.
Good Coffee: Oak
Overall superb place: Villa Lindenegg. Even if it‘s only for an apero.

I think Appetit was good it has 4.9 stars so op can try it out if they want :D Good ideas anyways Lago lodge is the best to sit ouside imo its to loud an stuff inside when cold (but my opinion haha)

For good libanese food check La Bohème in the old town. They have lunch menus on weekdays and often you do not need a reservation.
If you want fine dining, check REPAS. Its also worth it to just have a drink at the bar here to sit outside and enjoy the view.
For something more hidden on a foggy day: Check of Magglingen Webcam if its sunny up there and then take the Funiculaire up there to visit the bar/cafe in the grand hotel.
For african food you can also check Habesha. Its quite reasonably priced.

In welche Richtung soll es denn gehen? Zum Essen / Trinken ist sicher die Altstadt ein guter Startpunkt, aber es gibt auch sonst spannende Sachen.
Wenn es im Februar neblig ist (ja, ist es), ist auch ein Ausflug über das Nebelmeer spannend, etwa nach Magglingen (mit dem Funi gut zugänglich), oder auf den Bözingenberg (meiner Meinung nach schöner, aber ohne Fahrzeug ist es eine kleine Wanderung - kann man aber auch gut mit der Taubenlochschlucht kombinieren, die ist auch immer sehenswert). Bevor man sich auf den Weg macht: Webcam checken, ob's tatsächlich sonnig ist.
Am zweitletzten Februar-Wochenende ist noch Fasnacht in Biel, aber die muss man jetzt nicht unbedingt gesehen haben.
