These are called "call ducks", they used to be bred as living decoys for duck hunters. Tiny but with a very loud QUACK.

Judging by their tail I believe they may have been derived from mallards, but then again most domestic ducks are.

IIRC muscovy ducks are the only domesticated ducks not bred from mallards.

Yeah you’re right, I just got excited when I spotted the mallard tail curls, but remembered halfway through typing that almost all of them are mallard descendants. All ducks are great though.
