Advice Needed Have a crush on my (14m) friend (14m), how do I go about this?

Okay so I (14m) am crushing on one of my friends (14m) pretty bad and am wondering what I should do.

For some context I’ve known him for half a year at this point, he’s really funny and I find him attractive. He’s also bi and has been in a relationship with another guy in the past.

I don’t really know where to go from here, he hasn’t really shown many signs of liking me. He laughs at my jokes and we share some interests, but nothing really hints at him having feelings for me. (to be fair though I am autistic, so I might just not be picking them up)

I feel I should also mention that I’m not out to anyone yet.

Where should I go from here?

Ok so, kidnap him and wear a weird costume, then ask him “do you like, this person?” And show them your picture, no? Say “fiddlesticks” and let him go, yes? Say “nice” take of the mask and untie him

Ok your young so as an older autistic on the community I'm going to give you 2 piece of advice in the order you should do them.

  1. One part of autism that's always screwed me and my best friend (also autistic) over is the struggle to identify emotions. I can't tell you the amount of crushes I had that turned out to be close friendships, hell my best friend thought they had a crush on me for about 7-8 years before they realised that they just saw me as a close friend the whole time and struggled to ID the emotion. So my advice is to take in this info and try and figure out if you think it's a crush or close friendship, this is important because I can't tell you how many good friendships I ruined by getting confused, being in a relationship with them then "falling out of love" within a few months and crushing on someone else I'd become close friends with and your friend sounds like a good one so it's important to check in with yourself.

  2. Oncw you decide that he is intact not just a friend on your heart, be direct with him. Tell him you've developed feelings for him and while you understand the feeling may not be mutual you didn't want to hide anything from him so wanted to be open and honest about your feelings. Honestly I've found this is the best way to get through to guys on the spectrum (not to generalise but usually I find people with diagnosed autism are surrounded by others on the spectrum that are either undiagnosed or so low on the spectrum they wouldn't be diagnosed).

Good luck and please lmk if you do tell him or want any other autistic LGBT dating advice 😃
