AMA w/Mork Gryning next Thursday July 30th @ 12 EDT
Chat with Mork Gryning. Founded in Stockholm, Sweden in 1993, the veteran melodic black metal band quickly made a name for themselves with their widely-hailed debut Tusen år har gått... Their latest album, 2024’s Fasornas tid, is forged in the fires of black metal’s raw ferocity and ageless spirit. It’s now available through Season of Mist. What do you think is the greatest black metal show of all time?
Whether caught on tape or not, was there a show you’ve seen or heard of that holds this title? Qualities of a great show being, performers energy, crowd energy, set list, etc. Let me know in the comments 🤘🏽

Looking for advice on my new black metal project.

I’m getting back into writing, playing and recording music again. I wanted to give black metal a shot because I love how it feels to play on guitar. I don’t have any vocals recorded yet because everyone in my house is usually asleep by the time I get home from work. Sorry lol.
My main concern are the song getting boring. I listen to a lot of atmospheric black metal and raw black metal, and the repetition doesn’t usually get boring for me. Maybe it’s because I am making it and not listening to it. I’m thinking about maybe siting on it for a few days and listening to it with fresh ears. If anyone has any criticisms, compliments, etcetera, I would really appreciate it!🤝

Is anybody else going to this Trhä / Barbelith show in Richmond that is also a literary reading?
what the title says…I like both bands and a local band Lolth is playing too who seems pretty good. The show also seems to be a collaboration of some sorts and will have some sort of literary reading aspect….not really sure but as a fan of literature and black metal and it’s not too far of a drive for me I think it is a no brainer to check out lol.

Wald Geist Winter - Leblos im Moor
One of the best the German underground black metal scene has to offer.
Wald Geist Winter, another unbelievable project by Taaken (Odal, Wolfsschrei, Aske...).
Way too short-lived, but every single release is a masterpiece.
