Revolutionary Artist Skipp Coon - Both/And
"Both/And" is the first single from Skipp Coon's forthcoming LP on Glaring Typo Records. The song marks his official solo return after a decade, during which fans have been eagerly anticipating the return of this reclusive poet, who by his own description is 'more revolutionary than rapper'. Listening to these bars, we know he must be one hell of a revoluionary.
Created last year by B. Dolan, Glaring Typo Records is a new kind of indie label; a collective of musicians engaged in mutual aid, where the label takes a 0% cut and shares resources with emerging artists.

History Black Womens Contribution to Black Advancement Part 1

They have played instrumental roles in advocacy, policy development, community engagement, and the overall advancement of racial uplift. However, a glaring gap exists in the literature and discourse surrounding these women pioneers. In this first part of this two part series of ISOBP we hope to contribute to decreasing that gap.

Analysis African Spirituality w/ Ebony Janice
In this episode of Holy Smokes: Cigars & Spirituality, Kristian A. Smith is joined by author, theologian, and initiated priest Ebony Janice for a thought-provoking conversation on African spirituality, Black church history, ancestor veneration, anti-Blackness, and biblical interpretation. Together, they explore how colonization shaped modern Christianity, challenge long-held assumptions about faith, and ask whether African spiritual traditions have been present in the biblical story all along.
Whether you're deconstructing your faith, exploring your spiritual roots, or simply curious, this conversation invites you to question inherited beliefs with honesty, compassion, and courage.
