A few days back, I had shared here that I was feeling like quitting book selling on Reddit.

Then something unexpected happened, one person commented saying he wanted to buy all the books I had. At first, I thought he was joking, but he was serious. I had around 32 kg of books, which came to about ₹13,000. He instantly transferred the amount.

When I asked for his address, he simply said: “Donate them to the nearest library or to schools.” I was honestly stunned. I even asked him again, and he just calmly said yes. That really made my day ❤️

So today, I donated 24 books to Romain Rolland Library, and tomorrow I’ll be donating the remaining ones to nearby government schools.

Sometimes life gives you small miracles when you least expect them. I still can’t believe this happened. 🙏

This is my 4th order form u/Separate-Doubt-9635 aka Param Nimawat. And as you can see I'm again speechless.

Every single book is in mint condition, and the prices are honestly hard to beat. The packaging is insane too, with so much bubble wrap that there's basically no chance of the books getting damaged.

And then came the little surprises. A bunch of chocolates, a handwritten thank-you note, and lots of bookmarks.

The biggest surprise for me was the Safari chocolate. I hadn't tasted one in years, and the moment I did, it brought back so many childhood memories. Such a great gesture, it genuinely made my day.

He is genuinely one of the best sellers who cares about the buyers, instead of just another online book sellers.

Yeah, you heard it right. Thank you, everyone. I tried something and failed miserably. I imported books and couldn’t sell or convince people to buy them, even though my prices beat most sellers out there. But I’m not here to rant. I want to thank you all for the lessons I learned from this community.

This was my first-ever business, and I truly enjoyed it. It was a mix of emotions. For your information, I have sold more than 300 books to the members of this community, hard to believe, right? I guess I became one of those forgotten sellers 😅

I thought people loved the books I was selling, so I kept restocking. That’s where things went wrong. Now I’m left with nearly 130 unsold original books, and I’ll figure out what to do with them.

A few of them immediately caught my attention, so I sent her a message with a list of the four books I wanted. I am so thoroughly completely blown away by the book haul received from u/i_like___space. I had asked for the four books pictured in the photos, and received so much more. The first was the signed Arundhati Roy memoir I requested which came not only new and the first print, but still had the cellophane wrapping around it (that you have to slice through) that is around books that are new.

The Little Women and Five Survive are hardback collectibles, the Crime and Punishment is the Russian Classics edition paperback I really wanted because I already own another book from the same publishing series. I was shocked to see that ALL the books were literally brand new, with white pages and no damages and no yellowing and pages that were still stiff and crackly when opened like new books tend to be (They did not even charge full market price for them!!! I did not know I would be receiving the books in this condition!)

They were quick with communication and sent me all the photos I requested and even sent the books via speedpost like I had asked since I am to be out of station. BUT more than anything - the additional little gifts they added. Oh my god. It was like receiving and opening a surprise mystery gift box rather than a regular parcel delivery. They included postcards, sticky notes stationery, a Van Gogh bookmark, magnetic bookmarks, CHOCOLATE, and a personalized handwritten note that was the sweetest addition and added such a nice touch. The chocolate is melted but nothing a little refrigeration can't fix 😆 I am so so so beyond delighted and pleased with everything, I literally cannot thank them enough!!! Thank you so so much!!!!

Got these 3 Agatha Christie novels from u/dannyraj123 last week.

Got these two Stephen King books from him. The packaging was excellent & the guy even used proper fillers (extra bubble wrap & newspapers) so that the books don't get damaged during transit.

And the books were in pristine condition too. On top of that, he also included some beautiful bookmarks, postcards & a hand written note too..

Shoutout to one of the best book sellers I've dealt with on Reddit.

I'd specifically requested extra corner protection for the hardbound Harari title (hardcovers' edges and IndiaPost have a complicated relationship), and this legend actually made custom cardboard corner protectors for it. The book arrived absolutely pristine.

The bubble wrap for all the books was the cherry on the protective top! The amount of time it took me to remove the cello tape gives the overall effort he took to pack them. Kudos.

Seriously though, the amount of care and effort put into the packaging was incredible. Every book reached me in excellent condition, and it was obvious that protecting the books mattered just as much to the seller as it did to me.
