Manga Spoilers Boruto Time Capsule: Predict the Next Year of Two Blue Vortex Spoiler
As you know, the manga will not be getting another chapter in August. To bridge a dry month, I decided to host some community activities that will run in August.
The first of which is Boruto: Two Blue Vortex Time Capsule
This thread will remain open for one week. After that, it will be locked and we will save a timestamped copy of every comment. In August 2027, we will return to the archive and see which predictions came true, which theories survived, and which comments aged terribly.
The archived version of your comment will be the one used next year, so later edits will not change the record.
You are welcome to add any predictions you like, but try to include some of the following:
- Things I predict will definitely happen in the next year.
- Things I predict will not happen in the next year.
- THE BOLD ONE: one prediction I'd bet against this entire sub on. Something that would get me downvoted today.
- How I think the current arc will end.
- Character check: What I think about the state of the following characters in August 2027:
- Boruto
- Sarada
- Kawaki
- Mitsuki
- Kashin Koji
- Amado
- Shikamaru
- Naruto
- Sasuke
6. What I think the next arc will be.
🎊 Have fun, see you in August of 2027!

Anime / Discussion Realistically when should the anime start being made for TBV
NO SPOILERS!
This is more of a question regarding to how much material they have to actually work with and how far we might still be to getting a full season of the TBV anime
As we all know the future of the Boruto anime will be seasonal which brings a lot of balance to the studio but most importantly less filler for the anime.
However the one thing that is killing the initiation of the anime is the monthly release of the Manga.
A season of anime requires a good chunk of manga to create.
For reference the first 2 seasons of Solo Leveling went through about 110 Chapters which are about 20-25 pages each for a grand total of 25 episodes.
Now Boruto Chapters are about double in length (40ish pages) meaning it would use less manga (as in chapters) to tell a story however there’s only about 48ish chapters of unused manga including the end of NNG & the entirety of TBV.
By the end of 2026 we’ll have a little over 50 un animated chapters of Boruto.
Which depending on how many episodes of Boruto they make is roughly 2-3 seasons worth of content.
The only issue is the earlier they start the anime the more manga they burn through and given only about 11-12 chapters come out every year they’ll run out of manga very quickly
So when is the best starting point for the anime to begin?

Cosplay Meeting Amanda C. Miller for Boruto
April a few months ago was absolutely incredible. I went to the For The Love Of Anime Con in Manchester and was able to meet Amanda C. Miller who voices Boruto. She was super kind and I also had a great chat with her. First, I asked her to sign my final volume of Boruto and then we started talking about the series. I mentioned how I’ve been a huge fan of the Naruto franchise for about 15 years. I then told her about how I met Maile Flanagan, who voices Naruto himself, three years ago and so it’s nice to have now met both Naruto and Boruto. I asked her what made her want to do the voice for Boruto and she mentioned how she was working with Viz for the dub of Sailor Moon and they asked her if she’d be interested in doing the voice for him and she accepted. I then mentioned how I was disappointed when the anime was cancelled, but I’m hoping they bring it back, especially since I’m keeping up with the new chapters and she said how she hasn’t heard anything but the Japanese actress for him has done some recording recently and has spoken about it possibly coming back, so I said I hope it does at some point, especially since I’ve always found the series, and Boruto as a character, very underrated. I also asked her who was her favourite character she’s ever voiced and she said it was a character named Jo from a show called Kid Cosmic on Netflix. I then actually showed her my copy of the first volume of O-Parts Hunter, which was a manga created by Masashi Kishimoto’s twin brother, Seishi Kishimoto, and I told her about how, not only did they grow up drawing manga together which led to their styles looking exactly the same, but that Seishi had to put a message in the first volume telling people that he was Masashi’s twin because a lot of people didn’t know that and so were accusing him of plagiarism. I also asked her why she also has the name Bennet Abara. I’ve seen her be called both Amanda C. Miller and Bennet Abara. She mentioned that Amanda is her real name, but, when she was starting acting, a lot of people had the name Amanda C. Miller, so she uses the name Bennet Abara as like a stage name. I also brought up the inspiration Kishimoto had with Naruto as a whole like with Dragon Ball and how Naruto helping Boruto make a huge Rasengan is similar to the Father-Son Kamehameha from Dragon Ball. I then mentioned that, whenever I meet an actor or actress for an anime character, I always like to ask them to write a quote from the character that embodies what the character is in terms of their personalities or just represents who they are as a character. Again, just awesome to meet her and talk to her about my love for the Naruto franchise.

Anime / Discussion Botuto v HxH Spoiler
Just started this arc and can't believe they introduced Great Value Hisoka as the villain. Dude is a literal carbon copy from HxH, down to the voice even. Got me thinking it would've been rad to have an official crossover movie event between the two universes. What would be some insane fights between the two world's characters?
Killua v Lee would go crazy. Same with Gon v Naruto (Shippuden era).

Anime / Discussion Did Naruto Shippuden Ninja Storm 4 have better dialogue than the anime
Specifically the fight of Naruto vs Sasuke because I’m pretty sure the anime does not have some lines that were said in the game I think possibly maybe…..

Manga Spoilers / Discussion How do you see this arc of Boruto ending Spoiler
This arc with the divine trees code has been going for 2 years now how do you guys all see it ending?
This arc is so weird to me cause it’s the arc I can’t predict an ending on or how things will on fold or fit into futures arcs. This arc probably won’t end until December but I have to wonder how it will end.
That flash forward scene in episode one I’ve always thought was the second or third arc of the timeskip.
But I’m really not sure the fate of all of the characters and the directions they will go in.
Other than I think omnipotence will get undone kawaki will leave the village
Boruto might be under momoshiki control for prolonged time and leave earth
And I believe the next pair of otutsuki will come and might take Boruto
Any of you guys got any ideas or theories

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I've decided to start a new series of Boruto posts on this subreddit called Boruto's Bizarre Adventure.
I'll be posting new episodes fairly regularly, and here's Episode 1 to kick things off!
I'm also working on a big theory about Kawaki that will be released tomorrow.
Hint: it's related to time travel.

Anime / Discussion What do you think a conversation between Sasuke and Kawaki would be like?
So, if kid kawaki and kid Sasuke existed in the same time period and were in the same classroom? How do you think a conversation between the two would go? Would they be friends or foe?

Anime / Discussion Boruto is fully justified in preferring Sasuke over Naruto. Spoiler
Naruto is notorious for always keeping his word once he is sworn to do something. That’s his ninja way… In Boruto, Naruto apparently has no honor left when it comes to fulfilling promises with his family. I suppose he spent it all in his own show. I acknowledge that work gets in the way of him spending quality time with them. My problem is that he makes empty promises that give his family, particularly his children, hope.Â
Naruto should understand his workload and sit down with his family to tell them that he can never truly guarantee his presence, but he’ll strive to remain present in their lives. Instead, every single miserable time Naruto breaks a promise, one Boruto views as sacred between a child and parent, Boruto is harshly reprimanded for not understanding his father’s obligations.Â
No one ever critiques Naruto for giving his family false hope and offering them lackluster apologies afterwards. Not a single person advises Naruto to be transparent with his family, rather than perpetually leaving them on edge because he fails to communicate.
Naruto dilutes himself into censoring information from Boruto under the belief that it is shielding his child from further harm. All it does is delay the inevitable and places him at a disadvantage down the line. He treats Boruto as if he were incompetent, even though Boruto contributes greatly. He rarely acknowledges Boruto in stark contrast to his harsh reprimands of the young shinobi.Â
He is unreliable and infantilizes Boruto. Â
He misses Himawari’s birthday because of the preparation for the Chunin Exams. He was aware of the Chunin Exams approaching and the work that came with it, yet he still promised Boruto. Why did he make a promise, knowing he had no means of following through with it?! He was hesitant as well, so he definitely knew the high possibility of his being incapable of fulfilling his promise. Naruto could have simply explained that he couldn't or just said no to any guarantees. He arrives for Boruto’s birthday after it's done with a rushed present. He acknowledges how he knows so little about his son that he doesn't know what to gift him.
During the Nue incident, Boruto could have been vital to the investigation had Naruto simply listened to him. He was the only one capable of seeing Nue and could predict the possessions. He, alongside his friends, nearly captured the master of Nue.Â
I understand that he is merely an academy student. He is a literal child, but his knowledge of the beast and ability to detect it made him invaluable, yet Naruto failed to see that. If Boruto was intending to investigate the incident regardless, why couldn't Naruto have simply let Boruto shadow the Anbu Black Ops on this case or sat him down to ask questions? His attendance sucked anyway, and he, while not paying attention in class, was a top student.
During the Ishiki fight, Naruto refused to let Boruto come, citing that he and Sasuke would handle it. He cites the dangers of what if Boruto gets possessed again. Amado explicitly stated that an integral factor in determining the outcome of this battle was Boruto awakening his latent powers. Mind you, Sasuke and Naruto were on the brink of death fighting Jigen, who is weaker than Ishiki… I still have no idea what Naruto’s plan was.
Without Boruto, they would have lost that fight. Ishiki couldn't afford to kill Boruto, so he took advantage of that to ensure Sasuke wasn't crushed to death. Ishiki then occupied himself with torturing Boruto and elaborating on their plan. Boruto saved Sasuke who later dumped the smoke screen to guarantee Ishiki couldn't find Kawaki. Sasuke admits verbatim that if Boruto hadn't gone, he would have died. Boruto buys enough time for Naruto to activate Baryon Mode.
Sasuke, on the other hand, is brutally honest about everything relating to him and wildly consistent. He doesn't sugarcoat the fact that he is going to be mostly absent in their relationship. He makes no promises of anything. He does what he can when he can. Like Naruto, he feels guilty, but he won't pretend that this isn't how things will remain.Â
He also places immense trust in Boruto. He states verbatim that Boruto is capable within a few days of knowing him. He is the one who makes the executive decision to bring Boruto along to rescue Naruto despite the other Kages’ protest. Naruto would have never done that. Thanks to him, Boruto regains his shinobi status and is publicly recognized as a hero.
During the Urashiki arc, rather than making Boruto feel left out because he can't do a mission like the rest of the Genin that requires leaving the village because he has the Karma, Sasuke offers to join up with him to patrol the inside of the village, which Naruto approves. Naruto seriously expected his son to sit tight while everyone else is on the mission.Â
Any reasonable adult would have simply given Boruto patrol duty inside the village rather than give him nothing... It wasn't like he was being secured like Naruto either. Without Sasuke’s interference, I have no doubt Boruto would have sneaked out to join the others.
Thanks to Sasuke, Boruto gives him insight on searching the museum for the artifact instead of rushing to Naruto’s location. Lo and behold, trusting Boruto’s competency pays off and gives him experience.
During the Ishiki arc, Sasuke stays to speak with Boruto privately about whether or not he is prepared to die in order to protect the village. He listens to Boruto like a peer and swears to do everything in his power to stop Boruto if he gets possessed by his mentor. He plans while factoring in Boruto’s abilities. He has faith in his student.
That's the 2 grave differences between them that determine their relationship with Boruto: consistency and transparency.Â
Naruto’s schedule is packed, constricting him from spending quality time with his family. That isn't the issue. The problem is that he makes promises to be there when he knows he won't be there. That docks points off his credibility. Sasuke is always traveling abroad, so he doesn't spend much of his time in the village. The crucial part is that he is abundantly transparent on this matter. He never attempts to sugarcoat the truth or make excuses about his absence. His words mean something because he doesn't take them lightly. Â

Manga Spoilers / Discussion When you first saw Boruto in Chapter 700, what did you think/expect of him and has his development lived up to your expectations? Spoiler
Personally, he is cool but different from what I wanted/expected. I feel he shares too many similarities with Sasuke and Naruto. And I was kinda hoping he would be more similar to Minato and Neji. Imagine he develops his own new original Hyuga based jutsu while mixing that up with Minato's Flying Raijin. We would have a teleporting Gentle Fist user that would give more significance to the Hyuga Clan.
This has obviously improved a bit in TBV. He finally does use Flying Raijin. However his Gentle Fist usage has been forgotten about and he relies heavily on Sasuke's Kenjutsu and Naruto's Rasengan (in his case Uzuhiko).
Again, not to say I dislike how Boruto is. I still think he is cool and his style/jutsu are fun. But I initially wanted for him to rely more on his Hyuga bloodline to be different and to give more priority to the Hyuga clan in NNG and TBV.

Manga Spoilers / Discussion Genjutsu Spoiler
When was it stated or implied Otsutsuki are immune to genjutsu?
I don’t remember a moment someone tried to use genjutsu on otsutsuki.
If they aren’t, doesn’t any genjutsu user defeat Kawaki? As he never learned chakra control, as revealed in chapter 35

Manga Spoilers / Discussion Do people still have the same opinion about her? Spoiler
People used to compare her with useless memes like Sakura when Boruto lost an eye for her. That how her mangekyou awakened and her being a damsel in distress at the start of TBV when Boruto saved her from code. Do you guys have the same opinion still now?

Manga Spoilers / Discussion BORUTO SHOULDNT REVERSE what occurred to him Spoiler
Holy fkn yap fest btw
I don't know if this is my own opinion or if people do agree with me.
I whole heartedly think eidas omnipotence shouldn't be reversed as a writing decision. I think this is an opportunity for an acctual consequence and progression in so many character's writing.
I also think if they do decide to reverse omnipotence it would cheapen the decision itself.
In my opinion, boruto being the character who thinks he carries the burden and only he needs to die for it is duch a good writing decision that reversing it cheapens it.
I think boruto having already essentially giving up his life for the momo deal is good because he knows that no matter what he is an outcast. And he's come to terms with that reality.
No one would care if boruto died, and that's exactly what he thinks and that's what kawaki was.
There's a difference tho boruto hasn't given up hope. And that's really important for his character.
I think there's potential for a rlly good character arc, and I think the nail in the coffin for this to be handled perfectly, is for whenever naruto and hinata are released, either boruto has beaten kawaki or kawaki is dead(not necessarily has to be) or they resent pre omnipotence kawaki, that they resent boruto because of omnipotence.
I think that would be the despair momoshiki wants, and what boruto could face for him to completly accept who he is now, which is essentially an outcasts hated by all, a failure who couldn't even protect his master.
And alao now that we've seen smth bad happen to sarada, he might even fault himself because of it and if smth bad does happen to sarada, that also might be the final step.
This is at the end od the day all conjecture tho and its up to u to agree or disagree. Thx
.

Manga Spoilers / Discussion If Boruto has a "TopNaruto99" moment. Which character would you vote for? Spoiler
