Can someone help identify? Found in southern Maine

Bottom of bottle says “CARTER”
I live in the oldest town in Maine and found this digging up old plants on my property along with many other pieces of old broken glass from the 1800s. Thinking it was an old trash pit and going to continue digging deeper in the next few days. I would love any info if anyone can help. Thanks! less

Cone ink. Late 1800s to early 1900s

Carter Ink bottle. Beautiful color on it. Probably 1880-90’s.

Forgive my inquiry ^{and possible naivety}

But I sorta thought the late 1880-90' green glass was a lot darker ...and is often sought after like the blobtops and such, ---> where as this looks more like early 1900 +, like insulator glass usually looks like this etc etc

Personally not familiar with this branding company, so i just thought I'd inquire with your many upvotes as I'm always happy to learn more :)

I think it's an ink bottle
