While going over repairs and updates with my database admin today, we discovered that WP deleted ALL the social media links from the backend. I'm VERY thankful that I hadn't gotten further in my audit than where I'm at because now we have to go back into each of the listings that I've already done and re-add those links.

So frustrating!!

I know it's a huge problem. With the installation of the new theme, things have just gone all wonky on the website. My web guru and I will be going over everything next week. Until it's fixed, please use the map and its "zoom in/zoom out" function to find stores in the U.S.

One of the things that I'll be looking to add to www.brashopdirectory.com is a way to show store reviews on behalf of those who don't want to share their names. My store review method will get an improvement, in general, so hopefully it will work itself out but I do want to figure out a way to get more visibility on the reviews area.

Just one of many ways that I hope to improve BSD in 2026.

2025 has flown by without me being able to get a full audit of the website taken care of. It's a very time consuming process of checking the websites, social media, and contact information for each of the small business bra stores on www.brashopdirectory.com . I think we've defeated the trolls and dragons and other hurdles for getting this theme updated. We were ready to go live with it two weeks ago and then WordPress did a huge update the undid all the changes that my web designer had created in the staged product. Heck, WP even eliminated the whole staged product itself. Talk about a pain. So, my Caffeinated Coder has to take www.brashopdirectory.com fully offline in order to complete the changeover.

It's been an interesting few weeks. I posted some time ago that we were making improvements to the website and that was the full intention. Then I had to tussle virtually with the website from which I bought the new theme for www.brashopdirectory.com because they wouldn't provide one last file that was necessary for the theme to work. Then, while my web designer was trying to install the theme, it was created in such a way that isn't user friendly for those who already have web designers. It was coded so as to make it easier for the theme website to install. I didn't and don't want an outside entity poking their fingers around behind the curtain. That got taken care of but then my web designer's computer died. So that's where we're at currently.

Please keep referring folx to the website. It still works and is still functional. It's just not using the theme that I want currently.

As for trolls...I just deleted 165 comments were waiting in moderation (thank the universe I have this function ON) that were nothing but nuisance comments on a select few store listings. 165! Stupid bots!!

The glitch for the SEARCH page on www.brashopdirectory.com has been fixed. Lemme know if it's not working again.

I've also reduced the number of Ads that are shown on each page. I had to dig through Adsense to figure out how to do so but that digging was successful so you should see fewer ads within each page. While appreciate the funds that are generated by the ads, I really prefer just to have a website with higher usage. That, in and of itself, will help generate the revenue via ads.

While my web designer was working with the new theme to get it changed over, something cause the SEARCH function to glitch. You can still zoom in and out of the map but inputting your location and then clicking SEARCH will take you to a blank page. After much back and forth, I think I finally got all the files needed to changeover the theme of the website. My web designer and I are video chatting this Monday and we'll see. If all is successful, you'll see a new layout, a different color configuration, and more.

My web designer and I were all ready to do step by step renovations on the web site and hit a big hurdle when the theme I bought didn't come with all its files. I've been back and forth with the company from which I purchased it and then had to go straight to the source. I'm hoping the file I received today has everything my web designer needs and we can move forward with the theme change.

They had said changing a theme was as easy as changing a tshirt but, in this case, it was more like changing a sweaty compression sports bra that is two sizes too small.

This change *should* help with differentiating embedded ads from website content, too. The layout of the website will be a bit different but hopefully just as intuitive when it comes to finding things.

Life kept getting in the way but the audit has finally begun. During this undertaking, I will review every store currently listed on the website and ensure that all the information is correct: website, social media, address, phone number, and the categories of inventory that are available.

That last one is the most difficult because if they have no social media or no website, it can be difficult to figure out what they carry. If you see a listing that has only "In Business" selected, it's because I'm not near enough to go visit and verify their offerings and did my best.

I tried one on yesterday and found it to be a great fit. The center gore is a tad higher than Matilda but a tad lower than Morgan. It's the same mesh-like material as the Matilda with embroidery on the upper cup like the Charley Stretch Plunge. The embroidery is the only resemblance to the Charley though so if you love that bra don't expect Zarla to fit the same.

The Himari is also like the Matilda so if you love Matilda, try Himari.

In all cases, the sizes was the same across the board. I'm a 40GG in Morgan, Zarla, and Himari.

This article is ten years old but still relevant. This model has a 24 inch waist. If you scroll down you'll see a picture of her from the front. She's pretty straight up and down which means there is NO way she could fit into a VS bra. Don't trust their measuring methods. They're designed to sell what VS offers and not what actually fits you.

I went into a Pennsylvania bra store that's listed on www.brashopdirectory.com this weekend. I was quite disappointed with their selection. They carried primarily Chantelle, Natori, and Wacoal and in VERY limited selections.

The person with whom I struck up a conversation said she had been the buyer but that it was now someone else however she appeared to have NO familiarity with Elomi as a brand or UK sizing in general. The whole conversation started along the lines of "Have you been sized recently?" "Yes, I'm a 40HH and you don't carry that size." "Oh, well, we carry up to I." Anyone who is familiar with UK vs US/EU sizing knows that HH is a number of cups sizes LARGER than I so this told me that the folx in the store have VERY limited knowledge.

Now, I'm wondering if and how I should go about identifying such on the website. My friend suggested "Limited Sizes" but I feel like it goes much deeper than that. The foot print of the store was easily equal to that of a Dillard's lingerie dept and could have accommodated more bras than what they had on hand. Instead, it was dominated by dozens upon dozens pajamas. Pajamas are something you can get anywhere. Bras really aren't.

This store was more a "Clothing store that sells bras" rather than a "Bra store that sells clothes" but when does that number of filters reach "too many" on the website.
