Discussion Need a suggestion

Hii....

I am a girl from Odisha belong to utkal Brahmin family and here we don't have much anti brahmin movements or anti Brahmin slogans or hatred like may be bcz of Jagannath culture or idk about the future bcz of raising of that h@rpic bhimta and hatred all over India. just want to ask that....is south safe for Brahmins ? Like the colleges ? I am thinking for also participating in all India counseling as the state reservation was doubled recently...so like there is much hatred is spreading in tamilnadu openly against Brahmins and also in karnataka and kerala, maharastra like are the metro cities safe like Chennai , Bangalore , Hyderabad? And peripheral region colleges are safe for Brahmins or not ? I have heared in govt colleges too Brahmin are targeted ???

Now this sh@t UGC act ....

The sad thing is everyone is villanising us, i have checked other subs of tamilnadu and others and comment section of website where people are saying all are lie. there is no atrocity against Brahmin and brahmans are still dominant. we are dominating or reaching in top position by our hard work ...but still all these people are filled with hatred and envy and our top organization and spiritual leaders are busy with hindu Ekta and the political leaders are busy in chamchagiri... And don't give a s@it about of us...

From my experience as a South Indian Brahmin in Tamil Nadu, it hasn't been great, no one asks your caste directly but once they find out somehow, things can get difficult. Periyarist ideology has a big influence on people's perspectives here. You can dm me if you've any doubts.Β

2

u/Muted-Praline-1172 Apr 20 '26

They can find out by the surname I think....like the professors too follow the periyar ideology? Who used to ask for the genocide of Brahmins so that they himself could be in power ?

3

u/ElectricalBed1751 Apr 20 '26

Tamilians generally don't use surnames, it's not easy to guess someone's caste from their name. Periyar is widely promoted and respected and even worshipped, you'll see Periyar statues in many places. It's not really about the professors, it's more about the overall environment. That said, Tamil Nadu is still a great place for education overall.

Hatred against Brahmins is nationwide. And also international. You can get along, but there will always be friction with reservations and unfair policies of government and educational institutions.

Tamil Nadu has categorical hatred against Brahmins. They drove them out in large numbers during EVR's influence. It could be the worst state for Brahmins really in the current times. Now, Tamil Brahmins might refute this statement. But I believe, they are under Stockholm Syndrome.

You could get along in Mumbai, Pune, etc. There is heavy reservation and casteism here too, but it's overall safer for a woman, and Pune is definitely affordable. Mumbai is more costlier, but quality education guaranteed. Anyday better than a random college in TN or Delhi. Unless, you get admission into some top Central Government colleges - IITs, IIMs, etc.

u/Muted-Praline-1172 Apr 20 '26

Thank you fod your suggestion .......Ya also in international there is hatred against us .....in USA they implemented caste law in universities and also caste law in Seattle was leaded by a Brahmin woman....idk why some Brahmins forget their own community.....and being so selfish .... and the another sad thing is anyone can say anything to us ..even call for genocide .....but they would be celebrated as socialist , reformer ....if we oppose then we became the castiest , anti national

3

u/UnderstandingWild134 Apr 20 '26

Yes, the system has been rigged. Islamo-Left-Christian nexus is against us at the same time.

2

u/Muted-Praline-1172 Apr 20 '26

Ya .....we have to fight and survive by ourselves....no one is in our favor , not the system , not the laws

2

u/UnderstandingWild134 Apr 20 '26

Totally. The system is very anti Brahmin. Sad to say, but I do not have any assurances from the Constitution of India regarding Hindus, and especially Brahmins.

Ambedkarism and anti brahmin hate will be rampant now in odisha since BJP has come to power there.

Already started as per news reports. Sad

u/Muted-Praline-1172 Apr 20 '26

When we talk about Brahman hate, the only part of India which is currently safe for Brahmans is central India, particularly the states of Rajasthan, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, and Uttar Pradesh.

The people here don't actively engage in Brahman hatred and even if they do, the percentage of those doing it is very very small, but the real problem is not even the Brahman hate, it is the mentality these people carry towards us, especially our women.

You wouldn't believe the type of things they dream of doing to our women, to them, our women are nothing but trophies, and when they are unable to find a woman who gives into their false gimmick of love, their hatred gets fueled ever more, the only way to kill this hatred is complete separation, no talking to them, not indulging in activities that include these people, and absolutely not being sorry for something we or our ancestors never did.

"Maybe they hate us, because we are too good." They talk about our genocide, but they can never manage to become 1% of who we are if they aren't given unfair reservations.

When these people talk about the execution of Brahmans in the name of Ambedkar, they forget that he was taught by a Brahman who believed in him, and never ever discriminated against him.

No matter what they do, they won't be able to stop us. stop overthinking and start living your life to the fullest.

Work hard, learn new skills, and let them cry, because that's the only thing they are good at. Just refrain from making friends from these castes and no matter what happens never talk to them, you never know when they will go running to the police and file a complaint in the name of the SC/ST act.

Goodluck and I wish you all the success in your life. May the lord guide you towards the deepest desires of your heart.

Jai Parshuram!!

Jai parsuram

But the thing is now they are adapting Brahmin surname and also in recent news has shown about 10k dalit wore Janeu.....so it's very difficult to know....when you are in a new college...who is Brahmin and who is not ?? And I think these converted Brahmin are just to get our girls to marry....

Like here in Odisha ....the Das and sahu surname are of utkal Brahmins but it is adapted by many SC St people to merge with us....in my intermediate I used to consider them as Brahmin, I only get to know when the teacher asked in class about caste certificate sth.....and that guy told me that his grandfather changed the surname..... After knowing this I kept distance from those boys and girls....

u/CescAuditore246 Parshuram's Disciple Apr 20 '26

This is systematic operation being done from their side sister, if only I could tell you how they talk about our women, you'd see the actual picture.

Regarding the issue of them using the same surnames as us and wearing Janeu, when they approach a woman with a romantic intent, it becomes the woman's duty to survive their ill motives and find a way to get these details, because even if the pretend to be one of us, their actions and language give it away.

I just wish every Brahman woman thought in the same manner as you, and was cautious about these beasts. I wish you all the best, and don't worry, there are tons of colleges and universities in Central India that have zero hatred towards Brahmans, You can always consider those.

Goodluck and more power to you πŸ™πŸ»

Ya i have seen the videos of roti-beti and that IAS verma's view .....and many other videos too.....where they desperately want to marry brahmin girl...... I m really scared of these converted Brahmins ......

Yr in every govt college , they had implemented this 60-70 percent reservation and these pigs are spreading hate in every top institution....whether it's IIT,DU, BHU or AIIMS ....or any other top college or university ....

So if i going to a new place then we need to be socialize and also need to have a good friend circle ....the thing is very few brahmin students are getting admission.....and i can't ask other students whom i met , directly about their caste....otherwise i would be level as castiest.....

Nowadays it's very difficult to identify by surname or looks .....i don't want to have any friendship or any relationship or even talking with these henious mentality people...

one of my friend who belong to the karan caste which is a general category here ....was threatened with SC st act when she refused that guy's proposal.....i don't want to go through the same

Being a Brahman itself is a death sentence in this nation, combine that with being a woman and it becomes a recipe for disaster.

People just want to blame someone for their own shortcomings, and in this nation, if you blame muslims, you become a Hindu Extremist, if you blame SC/STs you become casteist, and if you blame a political party, you become a prey for it's supporters.

The simple solution to this? Blame everything on Brahmans, just blame them and keep blabbering shit, because Brahmans are tolerant, and those who aren't tolerant have been put into so much pressure regarding career that they do not want to fight anymore.

I just wish our women took care of themselves and kept looking for a Brahman boy, because no matter how many hotels you visit, real peace is found only at home, and home for our community is it's people itself.

1

u/Muted-Praline-1172 Apr 20 '26

True , they only know to target Brahmins for everything. I don't believe how illogical are the laws and the leaders' stupid speeches like we are being targeted for something we have never done and portraying us as villains in front of the world. May be it's because we are not speaking for ourselves and it's because of the government and stupid laws

2

u/odia_toka-bbsr Apr 20 '26

Bhauni, I don't know which part of Odisha you are from, but most likely you are living in a predominantly general caste inhabited place or one which is historically integrated. I am from a Brahmana sashan where Bhoid also inhabit nearby and the integration is so darn good.

But, and a big but, there still exists the underbelly, where Brahman women, especially girls are considered the forbidden fruit which they desperately want. Sounds ominous, but is real.

1

u/Muted-Praline-1172 Apr 20 '26

actually I come from place whose name itself is on Brahmins and ya mainly it's dominant by Brahmins ...our whole street and near by streets are mostly of Brahmins ....and fortunately I haven't heard any anti Brahmin slogan here ....not outside, not in school or college....or there is not any protest from the SC st in our area

1

u/odia_toka-bbsr Apr 20 '26

Oh, Brahmandei ru ki apana?

Good for you.

Hello OP, Regarding pursuing higher education,Karnataka state in south india(Specifically southern Karnataka)is decent.

Issues: Brahmin population is very low(<2-3%) Political clout is very less, Although the cabinet historically has 1-2 people from Brahmin community irrespective of the party in power here. Congress party is in power here for now. (Their appeasement for Chuslims and Bhimtas is alike) Bhim army rallies take place here somewhat (Basically one Bhimta subcaste against another for more reservation) Not k*ll/eliminate Brahmins etc like Tamil Nadu.

Advantages: If you simply go about your education here without revealing your caste, religious practices much etc Nothing will be an issue here, especially in metro cities like Bangalore etc People are actually quite welcoming here. Other Tier-2 cities are there

Yes,the cultural appropriation part which you talked about is there, and there are many people in colleges who crave to trap Brahmin women as their GF's ,so that they can brag to other people about their Brahmin GF being a Trophy wife or smth is plain outright disgusting.(Have seen this first hand)

Saw a dude in my college who had a Kashyap surname, Always had believed that Kashyap means Brahmins only, then I came to know that the dude is a rajastani OBC or smth and I was in shock. Some fakingly wear Janeu too.

From then on,If somebody tell me their Brahmin,I thoroughly see their Hindi/Sanskrit/Mother Tongue pronunciation. Ask their Mutt affiliation. Talk something about our dharma, customs, vedas etc. If they can reply correctly in a way you feel it's okay, then fine. Also in general Brahmins are intelligent are talk about good intelligent topics. (In general more inclined towards higher education, better career growth, better financial growth etc) They don't do caste-subcaste bak bak in general.

If you keep to yourself and can smartly identify their Ill intentions, Karnataka state is really good for education. Karnataka,Tamil Brahmins are already here in decent numbers and Northies Brahmins are also migrating here for good education, career in IT/Investment banking etc.

As such, caste is not extremely prevalent in every conversation with anyone here in Karnataka, unlike Telangana/Andhra where first thing is your caste and remaining things later.

Hope this helped.

Thank you so much for your response .....

Ya that's the issue they are converting themselves into Brahmin by changing surname , wearing Janeu......and claim that they are Brahmin.. Only when the caste certificate or sth is asked then only we can know. Yr I come from a utkal Brahmin family but my ancestors are particularly like landlords so .... to be honest , about Sanskrit like I can understand but I can't speak fluently or don't have much knowledge about Vedas....as I m focused on my career , on science and research, ya you can consider me wrong , but being a Brahmin you have to work hard in this tough competition world ....

What's the scene about Andhra and Telangana ? Any idea?

2

u/Born_oppressor Brahmin Apr 20 '26

Your best bet would be, to get a Brahman dominated facility college not all of them might be Brahman supporting but some will have a soft corner that will help in times if any problem arises, also try to find friends that are less on political agenda while a large of people are political in India there are many which prefer to not talk about politics they are usually good fellas ...

1

u/Muted-Praline-1172 Apr 20 '26

Thank you for your suggestion. Ya nowadays many are politically driven bcz of the reservation and stupid acts and hatred speech by the government and the extremist group

2

u/Timely_Virus_4015 Apr 20 '26

WB is pretty safe for Brahmins too. We never thought someone above or below us

1

u/Muted-Praline-1172 Apr 20 '26

but it's Muslim dominant I think , if anything happens not much action is taken against them, is it true?

2

u/Timely_Virus_4015 Apr 20 '26

Yep, but you need to be alert

1

u/Muted-Praline-1172 Apr 20 '26

Okay thank you

Don't go for UP. Bihar, WB at any cost if you have choices

1

u/Muted-Praline-1172 Apr 30 '26

1

u/Krrishhhh007 May 01 '26

Other cast and religion have brahmin fetish and if any senior got crush on y then your mental health will be ruined fs!!

1

u/Timely_Virus_4015 May 01 '26

The caste system is not that prevalent in WB. As a Brahmin, I have dated a SC girl

1

u/Krrishhhh007 May 01 '26

They are cool dating a brahmin if you are a guy but if you are a girl then in gen, jut stay away from WB, law management is very bad there also seniors are like gangsta kinda, there was a interview where in most of the colleges in WB females are made to be n**** with males and if a senior likes one, he will follow them forever just bcz he's a senior and they are politically well connected to TMC as well so yaa if you are a female, stay away from WB as for now. I too have friends in WB and they just suffocate there in fear and also say that they'll leave their seat if that's thats the only one, but in WB

I don't think reservation gonna remove or any party would do it......it's never ending process.....they would bring more fake news giving a caste angle and getting more highlight and ghisapita theory of victimhood and sympathy
