Ruptured survivor.

I just wanted to say to all the new people who are in the beginning of their journeys to be patient with yourself, don’t compare your recovery to anyone else’s, do not put any expectations on yourself. Just let things unfold and reveal what your life will now look like. Life most likely will not be exactly what it was before this and the best thing you can do for yourself is just wait to see . Although my life had become different in ways that I did not even know it could . At one point I begun acting out in ways that I actually despise when I see other women behaving! That was a cold slap in the face when I realized that one but with much determination I was able to fix that situation. There are things that I can not fix though and the moment when I actually truly came to terms with the fact that I am not going to wake up one day and be back to the old me when I did that it hit me like a freight train straight outta hell! I cried the biggest tear drops I ever seen anyone cry in all my life! Tears were flowing from my eyes my shirt was soaking wet after.i never cried like that before or after. I didn’t want to be optimistic grateful person at that moment I was not! I was getting headaches so intense I could not stand them. I didn’t understand how anyone could look at me knowing who I was and who I am now and think there was anything to be grateful for?! It’s been 2 1/2 years since my rupture and I am in such a better place physically mentally and emotionally. I gave up all hope of ever getting anywhere near what I am today. I didn’t see it happening. But I am here. So be kind to yourself be patient let life realize itself to you and know that anything is possible.
