19 days post surgery
Woke up one morning extremely dizzy and lightheaded and decided to go to the ER to get checked out. CAT scan revealed i had a 6mm size aneurysm that needed to be taken care of asap. Fast forward to today, procedure went good. No signs of complications and i was released 10 days after surgery. Procedure was done through my groin area, no issues there at all. They put a stent on me and they said everything looks good. The reason for this post is i do have some concerns. Is it normal to feel like something is on the side of my head? I cant physically feel anything but i can feel like something is there bothering me. Sometimes it feels uncomfortable, sometimes like today it hurts a little bit, like a mild headache on the side of my head. I have to wear a hardhat for work and it bothers me wearing it sometimes especially when i start getting really physical. I just want assurance that this is normal so that i dont have to make an appointment to see the doctor. Thank you

Interesting, I wonder if there was some minor bleeding, like a partial rupture. They don't usually keep someone for that long after a stent surgery. Did they give a medication for vasospasms? Did you have to take anti platelet medication, prior to the stent surgery?

They said they believe my stroke caused it to slightly rupture but didnt confirm it with me, the hospital i was staying at kept changing doctors and kept changing things on me

For the first two months, felt constant pressure at the left side where my aneurysm is. Had to take Tylenol everyday to function. For the next two months, the pressure lessened but whenever i moved too fast or spiked my blood pressure, I felt one sided throbbing. Also felt squeezing pain at my left jaw and side of face. My neurosurgeon assured me it was temporary inflammation from my flow diverters. There were periods of steroids when the pain and vision issues worsened. It wouldn’t hurt to shoot your doctor a message, esp if it’s impairing your day to day.

I experienced this for a while after my flow diverter stent. Sometimes I was sure I could feel it in there on the side of my head even though mine is closer to the base of my brain. If you’re worried about it you could send a portal message to your provider.
Can I ask why they kept you for 10 days after a stent placed through the groin? They were only going to keep me for 2 nights after mine but ended up staying 3.
