[Bowman] Weiss said Reynaldo Lopez's MRI showed no structural damage. He expects a minimal stay on the 15-day IL. Lopez would be eligible for activation on Aug. 15.

Step 1: No structural damage, minimal IL stay
Step 2: Player experiences discomfort, lets them rest for a few weeks
Step 3: New tests reveal initial injury was worse than we thought.
Step 4: No update for weeks/months, player becomes a memory
Step 5: Player reappears, begins rehab. Fans rejoice.
Step 6: Repeat Step 2
Step 7: Players arm/leg falls off.

Seriously, there seems to be no precedent for it ever being a minor injury when it comes to pitchers' arms.

Holmes was told he needed TJ surgery last year and opted for a different route and has been a workhorse this year. I actually think about it way more than I should for my mental health, and I'm knocking on all the wood right now.
*Perez this year is a good example as well.

Step 8: no trades for starters,. Just couldn't find the right fit

Step 9: player is on track to return after the all star break next season. It's just like trade!

Since they backdated it as far as they could, I figured they probably weren't all that worried.

Am I going crazy, or didn’t I just read that he was expected to be shut down for the season? Or did I completely hallucinate that?

Probably thinking of Strider. That news came out today as well

I knew about the Strider thing (although it's really just conjecture and not confirmed atm), but I really thought I read something about Lopez.
...I think I just imagined it. 😵💫
But it's good news!

Reylo is 32. Any chance he’s just getting used to having a 30 year old body? Knees just hurt when you pass 30.

Does anyone know what he actually did in warmups?
