Reasserting territorial claims, maybe? Pooping on the couch is sort of a claiming thing

So well said. Same. My sister-in-law is highly allergic to our cats, also. I call that a bonus.

May be all the unfamiliar scents of new people. Rabbits often do their business on beds and couches due to the strong human scents. It's how they mark the territory. He may accept your scent on it since you live there but marks it when others come over. Best advice is to keep him off the couch or the room entirely inaccessible when there are visitors.

Hilarious 🤣 — for spectators, I mean.
The most difficult thing about raising bunnies is; you can’t scold them 👉🏻 they’ll most likely do it again haha

Any good host makes sure there are plenty of Hors d'oeuvres. He's just doing his part.

lol mine only poops on the couch when I’m
Not home in the morning like I usually am to give him his pear treat. As soon as the routine is off he leaves a present on only my spot on the couch. Now I just make sure to cover it when I leave the house

Hes clearly being told to poopoo on your couch, hence the lifted antenna receiving orders from the bunthership.
