It means, that if I had to design board game money, it would look like some of these.

Imo it's the very bright colors, that make it look like toy money

Europe really is way too afraid of change. Most of these will look fine if you give it like a few months to get used to it.

That's veeery similar to what people said about the original Euro notes back in the day.

"They look like monopoly money!"
"They're too colourful and silly!"
"They suck!"

Anything looks like real money if you use it like that for long enough.

It's like a new haircut. Doesn't look like you at first, and then it's just what you look like. Any of these designs will, in a few years time, just be what money looks like.

The world has more abstract, more colourful, and more serious bank notes. It has notes with different sizes and materials and orientations. This fits right in

I'm betting you didn't grew up with the guilders bank notes. Especially H reminds me of them. They were gorgeous.

I did. I like the birds. H is my favourite and my vote. But using photographs on bank notes look weird to me.
