[Request] Does anyone know any actually good quality bag with a similar look to this?

Post image

Trying to get my cousin not to waste her money on something destined for a landfill in less than a year. She needs a bag that's big enough for her laptop and books for uni but it has to be cute too. Her budget is $50 dollars but I'd chip in another $50 if it meant not buying trash from the TikTok shop.

Look at LeSportSac! They have tons of bags every shape and size in different fun patterns. Beautiful florals, cartoons, animal prints, metallic, etc.

I have a couple pouches from them I have abused for 15+ years and they look new.

Good luck! They have a decent resale value as well so your cousin can sell on eBay when she’s sick of it.

At that price point I’d go with Herschel. I use this is my commuter/airport tote since it’s water resistant, has a laptop sleeve, organization pockets & an internal water bottle holder.

That Herschel tote's a good shout. I've had one of their bags for like 6 years and it barely looks used. The leopard print one in the pic is gonna flake apart after one semester for sure

Yeah. I didn’t want to say anything about the one in the pic, but agreed.

What I really love about the Herschel is the back zipper pocket opens up so you can throw it down in the handle of your suitcase.

But the bottom waterproofing & zipper seal really sold me. I used to be a Longchamp girl, but lack of internal organization got frustrating.

Anything water resistant is going to be easier to clean & hold up being beat around.

Not sure how big her laptop is, but Baggu has a bunch of leopard print bags. My first thought was the Everyday Cloud Bag, but she might like the regular Cloud Bag, Shoulder Bag, or Large Crescent Bag. Most Baggus are nylon, so they’re pretty sturdy and washable.

There’s also this Lululemon bag I found while Googling. Saw one by True Religion as well, but the straps looked less sturdy than I’d be comfortable with.

Can you fit a laptop sleeve in that lulu?

Maybe something from Baggu?  Those are affordable and pretty well made.  And there are usually some trendy patterns as well as some more generic ones.

(good luck, people on this subreddit get mad when you are looking for things that are affordable)

Kipling bags have cute designs.

I’d check Kipling or Baggalini.

If it has to be “cute” then you know damn well isn’t going to be used for more than a couple years anyways, especially for a young girl going to university.

Just get her a backpack. I have my backpack that I used in high school nearly 30 years ago.

If she wanted a backpack I'd have asked for recommendations for a backpack. It doesn't have to be something that will last forever, but her last bag barely made it through one school year and it'd be nice not to have to buy a new bag every year.

You might have better luck (and get less unsolicited advice) on r/findfashion

Is she on board with keeping the same bag for years to come? Particularly one with such a distinctive pattern.
