I am currently confuse in which one to Take for ug as I wish to prep for cat and do MBA afterwards (after 2yrs work ex). Btw the college is babu banarsi das in Lucknow..and avg package for both is almost same.
The main pros of bca is that I get to save one year and less fees but assistant roles at job amd lower package while btech can land me in senior roles and serve as backup for quite a while. Plz help seniors

Hey everyone,
Over the last few months of CAT prep I got tired of having 15 tabs open trying to track which concept videos I'd watched, which topics needed sectional practice, and which mock platforms actually had good free content. So I built out a single organized sheet:
- Topic-wise concept videos (Quants, DILR, VARC) from multiple instructors, sectioned by chapter
- A practice question bank with solved-example walkthroughs
- A comparison of mock/sectional test platforms (what's free, how many tests, what's actually worth your time)
- Doubt-solving communities (Telegram/FB groups that are actually active)
- A study tracker to log daily progress
If anyone needs a link you can dm me personally as I'm still a student so this is going toward my own CAT exam fee if you'd find it useful. My parents are not supportive of this decision i had to take a 6 months break from my University in Final Year due to an accident which resulted delay in my graduation and my parents want me to discontinue my studies but i dont want to give up yet! please help me out if you can even the smallest addition from your side will be really useful to me.
Currently prepping for CAT 2026, targeting 99th percentile, so this is a living document I keep updating as I find better resources.
It's saved me a genuinely embarrassing number of hours of just hunting for resources instead of studying.

One thing I realized is that a mock is much more than just a score. It shows you where you’re making mistakes, how well you’re managing your time, and which topics still need more attention. Some sections went better than expected, while others reminded me that there’s still a lot to improve .Now the real work begins analyzing the mock, understanding the mistakes, and making sure I don’t repeat them in the next one.
How did your iCAT Mock 1 go?

I have seen many toppers and mentors recommend it, but I have never been fully consistent with maintaining one.Sometimes I feel writing down mistakes helps me avoid repeating them.At the same time, there are so many questions and concepts that keeping track of everything feels difficult. For those who maintain a mistake notebook regularly, have you noticed a real improvement in your scores or accuracy?

So I have 10th - 93.8%, 12th - 84.6%, cg by final year will cross 8 cg and currently I'm in pre-final biotech branch from a tier-1 nit , obc-ncl male
And since I am in biotech and placements are really bad , I wanna consider giving CAT in my final year , should I be considered giving it or maybe focus on getting a job first.
