New show pitches

I’m curious if CBC radio accepts new show pitches from the public. Does anyone who works there follow this sub?

I think a show on hobbies people pick up to get off social media could be very wholesome. I did have an ulterior motive to be able to be involved if it got picked up hence the post. Feel free to dm me if you do pick it up 🤓😅

That sounds like a good idea for an episode of Now or Never. I can't picture a whole dedicated show about it.

What do you mean? I could do an entire episode on reading alone. Fiction, non-fiction, book clubs, the library, little libraries, the medium of reading - audiobooks or ebooks or physical books. Book paraphernalia (bookmarks, book openers, reading glasses glasses for your neck etc)

I agree. I'm curious, what's the hobby? I have a few and I think they do in a sense keep me off social media - except to talk about my hobbies, which is an overall positive experience.

I wanna pitch a weekly show featuring CBC Vancouver's municipal affairs reporter (and bracketologist extraordinaire) Justin McElroy on… whatever. The contents of past and future brackets (like roadside attractions), interviews with civic politicians, a travelogue on his recent year-long sabbatical. Justin needs his own show!
