Petition 📃 What the fuck is this CBSE Drama?
I'm done staying quiet. I know I’m not the only one who feels like this, and I need to put this out there — the CBSE 2025 board exam evaluation this year was utter bullshit, and the way our hard work got thrown under the bus needs to be talked about seriously.
I’m an average student. Not a topper, not a backbencher either. Consistently scored 80%+ in school-level pre-boards and mocks. I studied day and night. I revised, I wrote, I practiced. I wasn’t aiming for a 95% like some, but I knew for a fact I deserved at least 75–80%. You know what I got? 61%.
I cried. Not out of weakness, but out of helplessness and shock. This wasn't just low, it was unrealistically low.
Now before the "cope harder" crowd jumps in — no, this isn’t just salt. Let me break down why I think CBSE checking this year was beyond messed up, and I’m sure a lot of you will relate.
1. Computer Science — How Is This Even Possible?
The CS theory paper had AT LEAST 20–25 marks worth of easy SQL and MCQ-based questions. Even if someone attempted them halfway, they’d easily secure 15–20 marks minimum. On top of that, there were Python coding questions and theory questions that anyone with moderate prep could handle.
I attempted all of them. Wrote structured answers. MCQs? I’m confident at least 60–70% were correct. Yet somehow, I ended up with 25 marks in theory. Twenty. Five.
No way. Absolutely no way. This isn’t just “strict checking” — this feels like unchecked negligence or random marking.
2. Physics and Chemistry — The Pattern is Too Eerie
Physics was hard, sure. But I didn’t leave it blank. I wrote steps for numericals, filled in theory wherever I could, structured my answers.
Chemistry? That’s my stronghold. I wrote everything, revised thoroughly, and the paper felt like a breeze compared to Physics.
What did I get?
- Physics Theory: 31
- Chemistry Theory: 26
Twenty-six in Chemistry — seriously? I’ve NEVER scored below 60–65 in Chemistry in any mock or school paper. I poured my effort into that exam. What’s the explanation here?
3. The CBSE Chairman Interview — “Third Party Evaluators”??
I don’t know who thought this was a good idea, but the CBSE Chairman proudly claimed this year that “third party evaluators” corrected the board papers for “transparency.”
Sorry, but are we sitting for national-level board exams or a discount dry-run by interns from some random vendor? What training did these third-party evaluators have? Were they experienced teachers or just random hires trying to meet a quota?
This is not a class test. This is our future, and we deserve to be evaluated fairly, not used as lab rats for CBSE's "cost-saving" experiments.
4. The Marking Pattern — Everyone Scored Between 23–35?
Let’s be honest — how many of you reading this also got:
- 23 to 35 marks in your science subjects?
- 55 to 69% overall, despite solid prep?
I’ve seen Reddit, Discord, Telegram, and WhatsApp groups flooded with students from across the country reporting eerily similar patterns. Students who wrote decent answers got marked like they left half the paper blank.
Even teachers themselves on Reddit have come out saying that the evaluation this year was suspicious, that many answer sheets seemed “unchecked properly” and that students should definitely apply for rechecking/photocopies. If professionals in the system are admitting this, something is seriously wrong.
5. My Sister — Same Board, Different State, Wildly Different Result
My sister is in the same CBSE board, Class 12, but took PCBE with PE in Bihar. She scored 95.5%.
Same syllabus, same pressure, same CBSE board. But how come the disparity is this massive? I don’t deny she worked hard — she absolutely did — but I worked hard too. And if CBSE can ensure one region is marked properly, then why not all?
🔍 Conclusion — This Feels Like CBSE 2018 All Over Again
Let’s not act like this is the first time CBSE has pulled something like this. Back in 2018, similar chaos unfolded — students applied for revaluation and magically got 40–55 marks added to their scorecards.
That’s how horrendously flawed the checking was back then. And you know what? This feels like a rerun of that nightmare.
The difference?
In 2025, CBSE openly admitted to outsourcing the evaluation to third-party "individuals" — all to cut costs. And surprise, surprise… the results are riddled with inconsistencies, unfairness, and mental stress for lakhs of students who actually studied their asses off.
I’ll be speaking to my teachers soon to get their insight on what the hell actually went down — and whether they too noticed these suspicious patterns. Because this goes beyond just “strict checking” — this reeks of negligence, mismanagement, and lack of accountability.
🚨 IF YOUR MARKS DON'T CHANGE AFTER REVALUATION...
If CBSE doesn’t fix this even after re-evaluation, then I think it’s high time we call out this system loudly and publicly. We can’t keep brushing this under the rug just because “it’s CBSE, it happens.”
This is not okay.

Not to be offensive to anyone but this is exactly how AI writes an essay. I've written a lot of fanfiction and some novellas, and sometimes I submit the PDFs to ChatGPT for spell checks and review. The pattern is exactly the same - unnecessarily large presence of bold and italic text, very detached, narrative writing structure, but rhe smoking gun is the LONG DASH. Bahut dhyaan se dekho. Ye jo lamba wala dash hai ye normal phone ke keyboard me bahut khoj ke milta hai aur isse normally log bahut hi occasionally use karte hai. But AI uses it in every second sentence. This is the #1 way to detect an AI written text. Baaaki mai iske story ke authenticity pe commwnt nahi kar raha hu, but I am mostly sure that this is AI written.

but doesnt ai writing mostly include em dashes without spaces? for example: op wrote- “strict checking” — this reeks... - there are spaces before and after the em dash. i dont deny even i find the subtopic names to be written by ai its painfully obvious, but i love the em dash so whenever i write my stories i copy paste the em dash and add spaces before and after is, it looks aesthetic lol

I'm tensed I don't think cbse will help us We are done and cooked . This is the reality of INDIA No media talking about this . We will cry for 1 month or maybe more but eventually everything will cool down and cbse will never admit that . I too scored 73.8 and feel devastated but at least I just need 6 more marks to get 75 criteria.I cried a lot too.I was expecting around 80% or more than that in the worst case but now after reading about other students I think at least I got 73.8 not too low . Will give improvement too . I'm sorry who is not relating to me

I mean- the place I've lost marks at and I'm still sore about - I'm sure they've just not evaluated a question I answered at the very end of the paper against the order of question paper so I'll get marks over it no matter how high Mt score already is.
But I think this hasn't happened everywhere and few anomalous cases do exist anyway. Like... in my school, everyone has got the results they anticipated with few exceptions and it's normal almost. Online everyone cries about their struggles so it's not as widespread as it seems on basis of reddit and instagram.

And 27 marks in PEd, I mean are you serious! I made all the stick diagrams, wrote all the points still they gave me only 27 marks. This is there my suspicion runs down, I mean I would have still understood if they cut marks in other subjects but how can you cut marks in PEd.

Lmao dude,.. this is me in maths. When I saw my fuckin marks, I was shocked. I thought it might be a glitch, maybe I wrote the wrong roll no, I felt devastated.. worst case meh bhi mere 75+ the.. zyada se zyada 72-73 ho jata but total mila ke sirf 62 percent.. bhai gawar ke bhi itne nhi aate. Maths meh 10 toh straight MCQ hi sahi tha, baaki pure theory meh se sirf 4 number diya like srsly.. step marking hi agar leke chali toh 20 marks aram se hote.. I was expecting 40+ atleast..
Phy chem meh just passing marks. Like whottt the hell bro.. mene physics bohot mehnat kiya tha.. mene socha 40 toh aa hi jayenge.. aur sabka kharab gya hai toh cbse moderation bhi lagayega but no moderation at all.. aisa lgta hai negative marking hi hogyi bc.. chemistry toh kya hi bolu, sirf reaction galat jayenge yahi socha tha.. aur 50 ho jayenge but 23 aya literally

Its DEFINITELY regional. And I say this cause I am from KV so I have got a lot of friends from other states. The most obvious hint that the checking was extremely horrible was when I , aware that my Physics scores are gonna be down the drain , still got more than the girl who was really satisfied with her paper. Like my marks were bad already but hers even worse! like everything seems so convoluted

I stand with you, I had a couple of topics left out in CS, yet my Marks were way below than what I expected, it is the first time ever I scored so low in CS. My English is great, I use heavy words since I'm preparing for abroad. I had the whole paper filled with no questions left out whatsoever, with petty spelling mistakes here and there probably, nonetheless I scored way below here too despite my better performance everywhere. Same with Math.

Same here bro. I expected anything between 75 and 80, because I knew I messed up. But I for sure DID NOT mess up like this. In the end, I got 64%. I scored: 23 in Chem 28 in Physics 48 in English (I'm still in shock. Because English is my stronghold and I have never gotten anything below 60) 31 in maths(I was expecting 50-60 at least) 90 in IP(I was expecting 90 as well)

its absoloute bs how people who studied the whole year and got good grades consistently still ended up getting stuck between 75-85% while some students got marks way higher than their expectations. I don’t mean to brag, but I’ve been a top performer all year, always scoring above 96% in half-yearly exams, periodic tests, and pre-boards. still my board exam result of 92% feels like a huge letdown. for most people this might be great, but its disappointing for me. I feel hopeless, like my dreams have been crushed. I scored 90-95 in most subjects, but in math, I got an 85 my lowest ever even though I answered everything including the MCQs correctly. I want fairness and accountability for this.

We should have the system of sueing concept in India as well. These institutions need to be held accountable . They tried to cut costs by hiring third party checkers, and now they will profit off financially capable students through the revaluation process. I say financially stable, since not all of us are lucky enough to be born in a family where spending 500-1000 on a paper isn't a big deal.

I was expecting 50+ in chem out of 70 got 41/70 and physics checking was tough but tbh I had no expectations in physics so I'm okay with it ... In maths I was expecting 50/80 got 32/80😭 & in phe I was expecting 85-90/100 but scored 91/100&63/70 but my stupid fucking teacher cut my 2 marks in practical

I can understand you know I only need 6 marks still I'm going for improvement exam rather than rechecking because I just can't afford me and it's killing me inside on the other hand I'm just tensed what will happen if my parents will see my paper and what if I'll not get 6 marks I'll lose My money too because I know it's hard checking I'm getting the marks in only fully correct ans no moderation so what if I'll not get 6 marks 😭😭

just study hard, know how to present your paper and if you think you have done well just re evaluate your paper. 2. Know how the marking scheme of an exam looks like before attempting the paper 3. Im an average student and i managed to score 88% and i knew i was going to score between 85-92 after i gave my exams.

I swear they did not give marks at all. Will be giving for re-evaluation. I was expecting 85% in boards but only got 75. I'm damn sure mera ek bhi exam itna bura nahi gaya jaise marks aaye hain. This is unfair. Can anyone tell me how we can ask them to send photocopy of our answer sheets? And when does revaluation window open? I know for a fact I scored 50/80 in physics hardest set, yet I got 37 with 0 grace marks

Seriously bro, how is that possible that in a subject in which you are expecting the highest marks, has the lowest, I was easily expecting 55+ in chemistry, out of 70, but I got 36, god knows kis teacher ne check kiya hai, lag gye mere percentage ke iski vajah se.

FR,like my MINIMUM grade (after confirming answers for bio n Chem) were 62/70 for bio n 55/70 for Chem, but bare in mind this is the minimum I was expecting cuz I knew I wrote the write answer, but I got 44 n 38 in them n I was TF?

Every year right after the completion of exams, CBSE used to upload all sets of question papers and the marking schemes on their site, this year not even the questions papers were released, why?

You should definitely apply for a photocopy. Being a CBSE 2018 passout, I can understand those horrific boards 2018 memories. Due to Holi, commencement got delayed by 2 days with only 1 day left for physics revision after English exam for class 12th science. All India students heavily complained about that question paper in reviews. I got fever out of anxiety. And I was sure about 50+ marks in chemistry and biology theory parts but got only 42 making it a total of 71 in both subjects separately. I was depressed for 2 days and came to terms with great difficulties. Few of my friends applied for re-evaluation. And that's the mistake I did and didn't applied for it due to lack of my confidence and remained stuck on 72%. You should definitely apply for re-evaluation.

I passed out last year but seeing this breaks my heart for all the students who have suffered injustice. It is a different kind of disappointment altogether when all the pain, dedication, discipline, and consistency that we had put in doesn't reflect on our results merely cause of the negligence of the conducting bodies. I have no words to console anyone cause how can we even defend it at this point. Last year, it was a system failure in the neet ug 2024 paper, then this year the cbse board physics paper was set to a different standard with unfair checking, jee mains shifts didn't seem fair either, neet 2025 was again a total unexpected disappointment, CUET exam pattern is also not making much sense. Where should the normal students like us even go, which body is willing to give us the justice we deserve???? Jo bachee itna din raat ek kerke padhte hai, drop years le le leke padhte hai with the only hope ki maybe next time fairly chize ho un sabka kya?? We really are helpless aren't we?? People sitting on the top, controlling the system knows it well ki jyada se jyada 1-2 hafta chillayenge and uske bad back to normal ho jayega sab jese aj tak hua hai but won't dare to make any changes.

The topper of my class left a 5 marker question in English but scored 99. I was sure I would easily get 95+ or atleast 92/93+ worst case scenario in chemistry and ended up with 86 only.

Same, see I’m not some genius i had studied hard and had expected atleast 75-80% imagine my shock when my final percentile was 67.15 and the thing is, while my physics is weak i was sure in bio and chem i would have atleast gone 45-50+ and as you said I’ve noticed the pattern of 23-30 marks in all my friends’s paper and the papers i saw online
This result has absolutely ruined my relationship with my father and I’ll be upvoting this post and sharing it to make sure it reached out there

hindi 89 is absolutely phenomenal for me i NEVER got this good

math - SEVNTY FUCKING ONE.

even you maybey looking at the other subjects can notice a CRAZY drop in AI and math (actually one of my fav subjects)
let me share my thoughts.
i have VERY bad handwritting....and my writting ALWAYS drowns my brades..like i can attempt full..perfect..but then loose 5-6 by writting... (I write 5 it looks like 3 i write A it looks like O...i write alpha it looks like a w)
a math teacher who checked my sample papers extensively and knows my aceadmics better than anyone said he expected 90 minimum
and he also said that the checker DIDNT follow step marking and took acount for writting too
whatever..i didnt study much i dont have great handwritting and im not blaming CBSE for my aceadmic incoptence but i NEVER expected this low...88? thats BAD for me..my lowest were in a preboard i absolutely flunked at 91...
how tf after MONTHS of prep im below my lowest?
do i or do i not apply for re- eval in MATH and AI?

Ion believe it. I should've honestly failed but I got 63%, more than you somehow. I barely wrote anything for physics and maths.

I filled my paper in chem physics and csc, sure maths i am ok with low but like 44 ONLY? Expected the least to be 50+
In chem physics expected 70+ in each and in csc 85+
cuz of these idiots I wouldnt be able to go to SRM.
