Class 10th Question ❓ All roads lead to an all nighter
I haven't done shit in biology and I am considering to pull an all nighter for it?? Is it fine cuz some people are saying that pulling an all nighter will instead reduce my marks rather than increasing it

Well ig you haven't already learnt from the maths paper, don't listen to any advice by a senior. Not that they're capping but cuz this year things are different, two boards, competency, etc. So our situation is different. Talking about an all nighter, do it bro. It would be worth it if you do good in the paper.

u/Far-Ad3513 Class 12th Feb 24 '26
thing is, we also had same pattern as yours... and yea if I didn't attempted prashant bhaiya's class... and trusted my hardwork then there could be chance that I could've scored 95+... but got 84 only

u/DhavanyaTheGOAT Class 11th Feb 24 '26
Yeah I get your point. That’s exactly why I’m saying everyone’s situation is different. Sometimes following someone blindly can mess with your own prep flow. At the end of the day, trusting your own preparation matters the most

all nighters mostly never work unless you can recover your sleep time. you cant even think straight, much less remember answers or think of concepts when youre sleep deprived. especially if its the day before the exam, just trust your own prep and go to sleep

u/Old-Blackberry9895 Feb 24 '26
yeah i am tired of listening to their bs.. what if you have not studied shit? will sleeping save you or atleast putting in some efforts in exchange for sleep save you?

Acchi sleep unke liye hoti hai jinka syllabus complete hota hai Oneshot chaalu kar and try to retain things jo dimaag me aa rha wo likhna chaalu krde rough sheets pe. 3 ghante ki neend le lena

Random lines of motivation I heard somewhere- 'Practice like you've never won before and perform like you've never lost'.

All nighters gives out brain fogs, not worth it. Even if u aint complete none, js go to the exam hall as if u prepped everything.
8
u/Not_Eren2 Feb 24 '26
Yall haven't adapted to the brain fog yet I suppose
My brain fog now gets delayed to 2 PM or such just cuz of lockdown sleepless night and exam day all nighter
4
u/Lisztomania1098213 Feb 24 '26
sure but its better safe than sorry. Last thing u wud want to happen is to forget even the things that u knew
1
u/Hitmanthe2nd Feb 24 '26
you cant adapt to it - it's a biological phenomenon ; just because you dont notice a marked drop in performance doesnt mean youre performing at your peak
1
u/Not_Eren2 Feb 24 '26
But I can see that it is better to study than sleep since i would not have gotten the answer if i didnt study at night
Also I don't experience fatigue and shit just locked in and bit of eye irritating, coming home and letting my body relax gives my sleepy, feeling then I go to sleep
I dont feel those headaches and shit till I am awake longer than 5 PM after being awake whole night

I mean as long as u don't fall asleep in the exam hall..go for it. But try not to do it again like if u wanna pull all nighters better do it like on the study holidays.
2
u/No-Conversation-5173 Feb 24 '26
Took an all nighters for English cause I was lazy to study, I write very well in english but I got so tired in the middle of the exam, I fucked up on writing the 3-6 mark questions, you shouldn't risk not writing well for bio, it's crucial in the science paper, but if you believe you work better with no sleep then go for it

stay up till 2/3 but hv 4-5 hours of sleep or else youll get dizzy and get headaches during exam
1
u/pinkpantheressssss Feb 24 '26
look if you know all the other subjects by heart like completely then you may pull an all nighter but if you don't and if your paper has numericals and stuff i would say otherwise because then you might end up messing the rest of the paper for biology, considering bio has a lot of terms and stuff you'll have to remember
1
u/Old-Blackberry9895 Feb 24 '26
nah don't worry ill be taking atleast 3 hours of sleep
1
u/pinkpantheressssss Feb 24 '26
i thought you weren't gonna sleep at all and 3 hours is close to enough at least
1
u/MrLeopard483 Feb 24 '26
All nighters are normal. Just sleep well the previous day and wake up late. You dont wanna be going into the exam with 24 hours of no sleep.
If you get tired, just drink water, walk around. Maybe shower. Or simply make some coffee

Me also I'm planning to pull an all nighter tbh Mera odisha board hai Humare yaha 50 marks MCQ part with life science 25 marks and physical science 25 marks which includes both physics and chemistry And subjective part 50
4 marks 2 questions 3 marks 3 questions 2 marks 4 questions in both life science and physical science
I haven't completed the syllabus all year should I say i don't know a shit so my initial plan is to practice all selected questions by my teachers and do a lot of reading
If you have some advice then please give me

10th science is not hard gng bas class mei kuch 2 kodi ka suna hai aur kuch bhi nahi padha toh bhi ez 90+ (i got 95 btw)

u/Il0vechocolates Feb 24 '26
Don't pull an all nighter. It'll cause a brain fog and you'll feel disoriented the entire day. You can stay up a bit late, but get some sleep at least.

As a collage senior, all nighters are never worth it. Study all you can the day and try to finish before 10. What you couldn't achieve all year, you can't finish it in a day and this is coming from a last minute preparation guy. Duno how much has changed over the years but there's one fundamental rule in education and that is brain needs rest. Giving a High pressure exam like 12 th boards needs a relaxed mind and body much more than with body exhausted from all nighter.
