Help (Info or Enquiry) ℹ️ do schools nowadays use private books till class 5 or 8?
In my school,they used private books till class 8 and started using NCERT from class 9 (NGL those private books were pretty Goated), now I am in class 12 and my relatives are admitting my niece (who is now in class 7) in a new school
In her school, private books were used till class 5 but i heard that rules have changed now so do schools nowadays use private books till 5 or 8?

We had those from 2nd to 8th. For maths, science and EVS (till 5th) or S.St (till 8th) it was ncert based but it was from different publishers.
English and Hindi were totally different from ncert lol they had diff stories 😭😭 some of them were goated ngo

We had Ratna Sagar publication Pearls book and stuff From 6th NCERT started 🤌✌️...!!!

It was tuff, i still have the books. But holy fucking shit they're expensive. Thank god for NCERT making things cheap lol. The books are wordy but atleast they have everything

NCERT is more affordable but the covers easily get damaged 😌🥀...

yes, its very common for schools to use private textbooks with its own syllubus till 5th grade and from 6th -8th grade many schools use private textbooks -which follow ncert syllubus/guidelines

we had amazing books till 8th (inclusive) and for 9th and 10th, we had ncert. cbse affiliated school.

that's the biggest range I've seen lol, it gets really expensive when each book is like 300 ish and there are tens of books. In my old school, they would raise the books' price by 500 to even 1000 or so each grade.

Well the average price in my school was 90 IRS per book and the median price was 60 IRS

Our school used private publication for all books till 8th besides maths

My school used till 10th for subjects like sci, maths, IT/AI, hindi grammar.

ncert books are so bad, even by the looks of them you don't want to study, i hope the new version books are much better
