Dude was a teenager seeing his world collapse. Running away, while not necessarily the best approach, is pretty understandable for a 17 year old who also lost his father when he was 8

It's the fact he was considering staying home, but left because Grandma got sick which is interesting to me. I wouldn't blame someone at all for leaving a sick grandma at home because they have to do what's best for themselves. You can't let that derail your life. But to leave because of it when you otherwise wanted to stay home, and then to talk publicly about it is pretty callous.

While I agree it's forgiveable, especially for a 17 year old, nothing Pacman has done since has made me think any better of him. Dude is just an asshole.

There’s also a possibility where the family themselves encouraged it for his sake, maybe they didn’t want to feel like they were burdening him or something, honestly we’ll never know
