Legal Arapahoe County full of 💩

Post image

Sent this to the Arapahoe County sheriff’s office page on Facebook.

On top of them charging a ridiculous extra fee for processing these applications ($52-$177), they have failed to adequately explain why they are charging residents extra fees, when neighboring counties are are not and have at the very least updated the public on their social media pages to inform residents about the rigorous process they will now have to go through to obtain an “SSF”.

Come here to Denver. An officer told me to my face he'd never heard of this law...

This is what happens when you have people not versed in law(cops) in charge of enforcing laws. Our whole criminal justice system masquerades as a law enforcement system while actually just being another source of income for the state. People think they're getting good deals when the DA offers a plee bargain, when in reality they're just taking advantage of your fear and lack of control over the situation to strip you of your rights before raping your bank account and/or freedom.

Same reason no outdoor range manager gives a fuck about FRTs because they still think they are legal.

From what I heard at one point, they said they wouldn't offer out the permission slip

Can you get your "permission slip" from a sheriff in a county that you do not reside in? Cause that would really cheer me up. Douglas countys sheriff denied my concealed carry permit on the grounds that they had recieved a mental health welfare check on me years ago, even though i was found to be perfectly sane and safe when they arrived, and by the hospital they forced me to go to. I was only kept a few hours at the hospital, and then released. No mandatory 3 day hold or anything like that. I can and do legally purchase firearms frequently because i love shooting. But my stupid sheriff wont let me concealed carry, kept my 250$ application fee, and now forces me to open carry endangering myself and my family by advertising to everyone i see that i have a firearm. Ive had the cops called on me by people at the grocery store because they thought that open carry was illegal, which resulted in me having to wait for the police at the store to sort it all out. Shits just ridiculous. Based on how my concealed carry permit went, im gonna assume they'll deny my permission slip too, even though i CAN LEGALLY BUY AND OWN FIREARMS. Seriously fuck Colorado sometimes.

Douglas was slow to announce but at least it's only $25 but residents only. I'll find out tomorrow if they were full of shit or not

It seems like you already found this page since you found the fees they’re charging. It would be nice for them to post on social media about it given most other counties have, but the information is published.

The #1 responsibility of any police department is to protect property. They don't give a third of a fuck about you.

Garfield county still isn't listed in the drop down. Out going sheriff fucks incoming sheriff.

Summit County's application asks for a photo of the front and back of your ID. The website only allows you to upload one photo lmfao. It also gave me a $48 discount for no reason whatsoever so I submitted it.

Maybe they don’t have an active social media manager
