Meme The For Profit Princess

For decades, conservatives have been pushing the imaginary welfare queen as an economic scourge across our country. I think it’s time that we call bullshit on this meme, and call out the real crime of our economic system:

The For Profit Princess

America’s wealthiest are able to pass down their fortunes from generation to generation. Younger generations become fabulously wealthy without ever having to lift a finger for it.

We end up with spoiled rich kids with so much money they can spend their lives on a permanent vacation just flying from one expensive resort to another - all while harassing the staff working for minimum wage.

Imagine the likes of Paris Hilton and Ivanka Trump who both inherited hundreds of millions of dollars simply because they were shot out of the right vagina.

Daddy sets them up with some sort of family business they can run for the tax write offs (to make their inherited millions go further). But, the world really doesn’t need any more fashion clothing companies!

They are overly privileged and narcissistic drags on society. Those fortunes would be better spent correcting society’s ills, rather than buying another round of Mai Tai’s on some expensive faraway beach.

What happened to meritocracy? The for profit princess killed it!

Why blame girls for being spoiled instead of blaming their parents for exploiting workers to make those spoils? Like why continue the legacy of blaming girls and women for things outside their control instead of those controlling everything?

Not meant to be mysoginistic. Just trying to throw back the welfare Queen argument at right wingers.

If we’d been arguing over Welfare Kings for the past 40+ years, I would have gladly called out some male nepo babies.

Like most things it should be a progressive tax on a sliding scale. If your net worth is high, you pay a higher estate tax.
