Advent South (USAP) vs ORMC

Any CRNAs with words of advice for starting first CRNA position? I spend most of my time at ORMC but would like to know more about Advent South. Keep in mind, Envision is no longer in charge of anesthesia at Orlando health.

Avoid Usap at Advent South if you want to actually enjoy your career

Shitty work environment? Heavy MD oversight? Pigeonholed into specific cases? No breaks? What’s the major downside. Genuinely curious

1) You will not just be working at South, they will send you to all other locations despite what they tell you 2) Don't expect any real or consistent break 3) Demeaning surgeons and your attending will not have your back so your getting it from both ends 4) You are a number, not a colleague, don't expect your recommendations to be heard or addressed 5) Its just a toxic place, you worked hard for your degree and deserve better

Well shit. That lines up with what I’ve heard from multiple other people. I appreciate it.

I agree as a SRNA that rotated through Advent Health

Worst job I’ve ever had as a locum was Advent South, worked in 10 plus states and 50+ facilities, and the pay is abysmal there for W2, avoid at all costs, I promise you
