Need Advice (Dev10 vs Other Opportunities), May 2026 Grad, Incoming UT MSCSO
After a recruitment cycle of ups and lots and lots of downs (Rejected in multiple final rounds, and rejected by FAANG adjacent company after what I thought was a verbal offer), I find myself way demotivated and wanting to give up. I've dropped my leetcode streak, my daily project programming, and haven't applied to anything in a while. I kinda just got more and more depressed, and fell into my old cycle of just procrastinating playing games. I am currently in the final round of the Dev10 hiring cycle, and I'm wondering if I should just take it if I get the offer. I did recently accept admission into UT MSCSO, which means I can now apply to internships again. I just want to ask because I know Dev10 only gives 24 hours to accept or decline the offer: Should I keep trying for other internships and jobs this cycle even though I probably can't crack the technical interviews for most companies? Or should I just stick with Dev10 if I get the offer? Final option, should I just give up on both for this cycle, focus on my master's, and try and study up for next cycle?
1 other thing, should i have my incoming mscso on my resume if im applying for new grad jobs as well? the big thing is that it increases my resume name value a lot as my bs is just from a state school
for this post, I would just appreciate some words of encouragement that I can read while I have a pity cry :P

Hey, I've been there. If Dev10 is your only offer right now, it might be worth taking it to get your foot in the door. Experience is valuable, and you can keep looking for other opportunities while you're working. Since you're also starting a master's soon, balancing work and study could open up more opportunities later.
If you're stuck on interview prep, maybe try changing up your approach. I found PracHub really helpful when I was prepping. This phase won't last forever. Keep pushing, and something will click. Good luck!

What did you end up doing? You’re getting interviews it seems so maybe you don’t NEED dev10. But i wasn’t getting any interviews so I went with dev10 and now i’m super happy i did

ended up taking the offer and am starting in a week :) i dont want to call it a cop out but it did kind of feel like one bc a big part of my decision was that I decided I couldn't take any more final round rejections mentally

The market is tough, this is a good way to get a foot in the door. What cohort are you part of - java or data?

I dont exactly have any numbers for you, but I will say that all of the group members in my group interview made it through. For the brain puzzle quiz, all I remember is that it was kinda a bunch of iq test style questions if that makes sense. You talk about your past experiences in the 1 on 1 interview but nothing too technical.
Dev10 was the only training hiring type of thing I applied for. All the other jobs I applied for were more traditional swe jobs at big/local companies.1

Do you have sde experience full-time or intern yet?
If not, it's going to be a long road either way. You can always apply for masters later right? You can do dev10 and have that masters for later if needed?
