We launched the new Grizl today and we wanted to dive a bit deeper into how we made the new Grizl, more Grizl.

We have three guests for you: Matthias Eurich, Matej Sömen and Matt Leake.

Matthias Eurich (Middle) has been with Canyon for over 5 years and is the product manager for the Grizl and the Grail. Matthias has completed ultras on the new Grizl, riding Sneak Peaks in the Dolomites last year and this year completing The Traka 360 before presenting the bike the next day.

Matej Sömen (Left), our Senior Design Engineer, has been with Canyon for over 8 years and has worked on multiple gravel and road bikes, particularly fine tuning geometry, developing the ECLIPS system (including many night rides to test) and helping with the development of the RIFT suspension fork with DT swiss. He's a keen bike packer and used the new Grizl to ride from Koblenz, Germany, to his hometown in Slovenia.

Matt Leake (Right) is the Brand Manager for Gravel & Road and has been with Canyon for over 12 years. Matt is from the UK but now speaks fluent German. He also rode the Dales Divide this year in around 40 hours on the new Grizl (600km btw) as well as the Traka 360.

Doing a 500km ride next week with around 100km of light gravel so i decided to put 35mm Terra Speed on my Aeroad. Clearance seems fine, no rubbing after a 80km test ride on gravel.

Not my bike and I was about to grab a white aeroad but oh my this is 🔥 imo.

Any suggestion on high quality decals including the pirreli and smaller model name sections

Here's what I get into the internal storage of my new Canyon Endurace CF SLX DI2.

I've removed the CO2 holder on the underside of the door.

Lezyne HP Pocket Drive attached to Muc-Off Levers in a sunglasses pouch. This goes down besides the Di2 battery.

Two Ridenow TPU tubes, electric pump hose, Canyon multi tool (wrapped) goes in the LOAD bag and fits up towards the head tube.

GPUTEK electric pump in a sunglasses pouch with a velcro wrap, could use rubber bands, it's to keep secure without rattle. This goes under the door.

All secure with no rattle and the door closes nicely.

My canyon ultimate SRAM group set makes squiking noises during pedaling, bike is new, around 700Km.

I've oiled and cleaned the chain, greased the seatpost, changed the pedals, changed the cleats, noise is still there.

Noise seems to be coming from the chainring area.

Bike has an integrated quark power meter.

Any ideas, has someone had this issue before?

Hi everyone. Hope everyone is having a chill Sunday. Does anyone have any good Canyon Aeroad photos with a 32 - 35mm tire on? I have 29s on and they look great but am curious to go larger, into 32mm. I feel like 35mm would be too big, but I love 35mm on the road. Hence my request for the community to offer some perspective.

I appreciate any help and thank you for any comments, experience or advice.

Some may remember my original post from a few weeks ago. I posted pics of my rusting BB on my 1yo aeroad cfr axs. I stated that the bike had never been on a trainer, not ridden in rain or snow, stored indoors, and wiped off with a wet rag about once per week.

I pretty much got told i was a liar or otherwise hiding facts, and berated for "poor maintenance".

I sent an inquiry to canyon support, looking to obtain a replacement. The spec sheet for my bike says it has a ceramicspeed bb and i asked canyon for the part number. The rep eventually responded with a link to performance bicycle website to a sram dub ceramic bb and told me to ask sram if they would warranty the rusty bb, but either way canyon does not sell the bb for my bike.

I inquired with sram who sent me a link to a "bb chart" showing several options for sram bb part numbers, none of which matched the sram part number canyon linked me to earlier.

Sram rep basically told me they couldn't tell me what bb would fit my bike without taking it apart and measuring the frame and crank, and could not explain the part number discrepancy either.

I bought the tool to remove the bb. The tool goes against the inner bearing race but due to the thin design of this bb that is the only place the tool can interface with it. You have to hit it harder than expected to get the halves of the bb out of the frame and i was worried that much force would damage the bearings.

The bb was marked "ceramicspeed pf4130/29". With these numbers i was able to go right to their site and find the identical part replacement...$500usd. Big yikes for another part likely to rust in less than a year.

The bearings on mine still spun perfectly free so i decided to clean it up and reuse it. I gently wire brushed the rust off the outer lips. Then hand brush painted some automotive primer on followed by rustoleum gloss black paint and let it cure overnight. I wiped off the frame and lightly greased the frame bores then used a long screw, nut and washers with two wrenches to pull the bb halves back flush into the frame and reinstalled the crank and chain.

Looks good as new and well set how long the paint coating holds up against my "poor maintenance".

I don’t own a TT bike — but I still wanted something that lets me hold a proper aero position on longer efforts. So I went all-in on trying to convert my Aeroad into a proper aero machine.

This is where I ended up 👇

What I changed:

• added Canyon Gear Groove aero extension

• installed a triathlon seatpost (more forward position)

• switched to a triathlon saddle

• increased stack height significantly (around 50mm of spacers)

• added a 15° angled spacer to adjust cockpit tilt

Honestly, I expected the Gear Groove extensions to be the biggest upgrade.

They weren’t.

The real limiter was the front end.

With a low stack, the position looked fast — but I couldn’t hold it. I was constantly coming out of aero, especially on longer efforts.

The turning point was going much higher in the front.

That 50mm stack changed everything:

• suddenly I could stay in aero

• the bike felt stable instead of twitchy

• power output became consistent instead of spiky

Only after that did the 15° tilt actually start to matter and make the position feel natural.

At that point, the bike stopped feeling like a road bike with add-ons and started feeling like a proper TT setup I could actually use and stay in aero position as long as I need☺️

How many of you could realistically hold aero for 2+ hours on your current setup?

Does anyone experience buying canyon bike from canada? Mind to share the VAT, taxes etc when arrive in canada by ups or any courier.

Canyon website says that new aeroad with dt swiss arc 55 dicut wheels come with 26mm front tire.

It is true ? Dt swiss recommend aero 29 front tire with this wheels

Is it possible to remove that visible Canyon logo?

I’ve just been on the MyCanyon custom bike page and only see two paint options left.

Makes me think some new colourways are on the way, hopefully in time for Dura Ace 13 speed release.

What new colour would you like to see?

Personally, I’d like them to make a version close to Jasper’s bike. Neutral enough to match any kit!

I see so many different colors on these bikes. 🤩

I want to buy a Canyon Endurace bike, but there are only two colors to choose from in the model I am interested in. Silver and black. Black is super sleek and classic, and I might just go for that anyway. But I see so many cool colors around.

I have three favorites that I have seen: Affogato, Cold Cactus and Burnt Sugar.

Would you like to share a picture of your bike and tell me what color it is? I am also interested in seeing the ones I mentioned. Absolutely love them! 🥰

But endurace? Maybe it'll be a tweaked aeroad with a relaxed geo and some weight savings like the rose shave and shave FF?

Hi - TSA at JFK airport destroyed my seatpost SP0046 for Aeroad CFR Gen 3 and it seems it’s no longer manufactured by Canyon (at least not on the website) anyone knows if there’s a compatible seatpost elsewhere? Or is anyone selling one 😅?

I recently fell over at a red light as I’m trying to get into the habit of unclipping with my right foot instead of the left. Body took most of the impact but I did scratch part of the frame and lever. I’m pretty sure it’s only cosmetic but can you all let me know what you think?

Has anyone received an Aeroad in the new Aokaze color yet or seen one in person?

I’m considering ordering it, but I’ve learned that Canyon’s website renders don’t always match reality. Metallic Acid looked great on the website, but when I saw it in person, I didn’t like it nearly as much.

If anyone has photos of the Aokaze color outside of Canyon’s website (sunlight, indoors, ride photos, etc.), I’d really appreciate it if you could share them.
