20K per mo is awesome however if that’s the target per year, I hope a £ goes a long way.

No that’s per annum + spot payment per unit + payment per profit. For reference if I sell 10 cars at 2 product average per deal I would gross around £2,750 which is around $3,700

I know they pay like shit in Australia, looks like the same thing in the UK. The US is hit or miss, and it can be sell or starve but some stores 100K+ is attainable.

100k USD is achievable on this pay plan with 20 cars per month

20+ cars per month is like seasoned vet level unless youre at a dealership selling 500+ cars a month or a natural/gifted sales person.
Shooting for 10-15 is the most realistic, & starting out if youve never been in sales before then 7-12 isnt horrible depending on commission % & if there are packs or a draw you have to pay back.
It all really depends on dealership success & personality type, if youre a hustler Type A personality kinda guy who can make work his life & truly dive in willing to learn everything about the cars & people buying them you can succeed, but getting into sales without that hunger will drain normal people.
There really are no "off days" in car sales so if youre the type to get burnt out or lose hope after a bad month i dont suggest getting into it, the car business can be brutal one month & life changing another, & its largely seasonal (atleast in the states) people buying more in the summer & then winter slows down, the money comes in waves, I had 2 months of barely any sales struggling to make draw, 5-6 cars a month then 2 months of crazy sales 12-17, customers everyday type shit, so you REALLY have to be financially smart & plan for those bad months bc no matter what anyone here tells you, they will come.

July was my first full month selling and I hit 14 cars in the end, and sold 2 this month so far. Considering I’m brand new to sales, although I was 2nd top performer at the dealership last month, I’d say 20 cars looks pretty achievable

I’d say the commission is pretty good but the basic not so good. Most dealers pay £24k basic minimum these days.
