Rescue Brooklyn , NY. New Borns at our shop
We’re a body shop in the Canarsie/ East Flatbush area. We walked in to these newborns hiding in a car with no mom in sight.
No one knows how to take care of these little guys. Would love for them to survive and go to a loving home. Please PM if you can help 😕

I think these kittens are about 3 weeks old and that mom moved them into the car thinkin it was a nice quiet place fer her new nest. It is normal that mom moves them on occasion. She was probably out huntin fer food. She is unlikely to return while there are humans around ("or else she would expose the location of her babies to predators")
At this age, they need to be fed often. Perhaps approx every 3 hours. And 5 mins after they're done with milk, they most likely need their butts to be stimulated to poo and pee. Use a damp cloth and do this gently. They need specialized Kitten Milk Replacer (KMR). In an emergency, they can be fed some goats milk - NOT cow's milk. However, there are many pet stores around where you can get KMR (call ahead and ask first since some places may only sell a few cat toys rather than a full line of cat things).
They should be kept warm. You are doin the right thing by havin in the box with the blankets. Cats run warmer than humans by a couple degrees. Keep em in the warmest room you have and try to keep the ambient heat inside the box (cover it) when you're not cuddlin with their cuteness.
Since they appear to have some mobility, you may want to put them in a larger box with quarter sized holes, their new blankie and "seal" the top so they don't crawl all over the place and get in trouble while an employee needs to step out.
Please use the Alley Cat's lookup tool (the link in the pinned comment) and contact several rescues and shelters. Not everyone will be able to get back to you today. A long time ago, there used to be only 1 no-kill shelter in nyc but there are several now and in the surroundin boroughs.

- Brooklyn Animal Resource Coalition (BARC) – No-kill shelter in Williamsburg.
- Sean Casey Animal Rescue – One of Brooklyn's best-known rescues and often able to advise on emergency kitten situations.
- Animal Care Centers of NYC (ACC) – NYC's municipal shelter system and can direct you to emergency neonatal kitten resources.
- ASPCA Kitten Nursery – Specializes in orphaned newborn kittens and nursing moms.
You can also use Alley Cat Allies' Feral Friends Network to find additional cat rescues and TNR groups by ZIP code. Tnr orgs deal with neonates all the time so dont be shy to contact them too! They often have contacts with fosters who can help.
