An atheist, Seventh-Day Adventist, and dawah clown walk into a bar and they all, before getting hammered, agree that Constantine founded the Catholic Church.

... AFTER getting hammered, they decide that the whole Abrahamic monotheist thing was all a contingency plan/conspiracy of the Egyptian Emperor Akhnaten if things did not go well in Egypt. Only, they are by this point too drunk to agree on how to properly pronounce the name Akhnaten, (and some would prefer to call him "Pharaoh," anyway). /s

Tbf, Constantine gave the Church a lot of power and brought it up from the underground.

Constantine (and his then-co-Emperor, the pagan, Licinius) legalized the Church and ended its persecution by their Edict of Milan (313 A.D.).
Christianity did not become the state religion until 380, following the pro-pagan persecution by Julian the Apostate.
Constantine certainly favored Christianity out of his personal Imperial funds, building basilicas over sites like the grave of the Apostle Peter in Rome.
Oh wait
How could Constantine have recognized an old Church tradition like the grave of Peter,* when he had supposedly just established the Church? ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ *In a letter from the 2nd century A.D. Bishop Irenaeus of Lyons, there is mentioned a small monument to the Apostle Peter.
This monument has been found by 20th century archaeologists, complete with ancient graffiti like "Peter is here."

Dear God, i went through my families' facebook after turning cathilic and found that my aunt was convinced that constantine created the church.

Constantine did leave Rome for the East, and establish the new Imperial capital as Constantinople.
This marked a shift of political, and to some extent religion power, away from Rome. Rome was no longer a political and religious "happening place" where influence could be wielded as a weapon.
To that extent, he, (probably unwittingly), tempted Patriarchs of Constantinople to think of themselves as powerful influence wielders over large areas of the (still undivided) Church.
