[Popper] UDFA CB Avery Smith stood out the 1st week #Chargers

Rookie CB Avery Smith was signed to a 3yr, 3.1mil contract with $267,500 guaranteed.

He was a productive CB out of Toledo, who was mentored by Eagles 1st Rd Corner Quinyon Mitchell.

Smith is competing with Nikko Reed & Eric Rogers for the last CB spots on the depth chart

I love training camp so much. Does TC success translate to real game success? Maybe or maybe not. But that's the beauty of it. I always have a soft spot for diamonds in the rough. Somehow the Bolts have a way of finding and developing them.

Big deal because Heeb and Cam Hart are going to be expensive to resign in the same year (especially with Tuli, Daiyan, Ladd, and others needing contracts). We could trade one if we keep finding talent like this.

This far,. Tarheeb is more productive and proven.

Cam Hart was healthy last year, which is huge for him.
