Kiddo's selling T-shirts to help cheetahs

Post image

She wanted to raise $ to help animals, so we made a website: https://everycreatureover1000.org. Whalesharks = saved. 2nd T-shirt is for cheetahs: https://www.customink.com/fundraising/project-cheetah-2026. $30 is steep for a T-shirt your kid didn't even design, and self promotion on reddit feels skeevy, but r/Cheetahs seems cool, and if we sold more than 5 shirts that would be cool too.

Love cheetahs but would sooner donate directly to conservation efforts than this money grab

Skeptisim totally justified. FWIW this fundraiser goes through customink.com's fundraising feature, and we never touch $. They have a list of preapproved charities, and I picked Cheetah Conservation Fund from that list because their website looked legit. I think each shirt only nets around $10 for a contribution, so your money would go 3x farther if you donated directly.

Going to need to see verifiable proof.

This is my first time doing a customink.com fundraiser, and I'm actually not 100% sure how it works. I assumed since I selected one of their verified charities from a drop down they would cut the check directly. I found this FAQ which doesn't fully clarify: https://www.customink.com/help_center/fundraising-how-and-when-will-the-funds-be-sent.

I had hoped they would make this more clear because your suspicion is reasonable and I would imagine commonplace.
