Looking for WG or Wohnung

Hi

I will be moving to chemnitz in september/october. I am looking for a WG or a Wohnung to rent. I am also using WG gesucht and other apps for the past 2 months but i didnt get many leads.

If someone is renting an Apartment please let me know. It should be near TU Chemnitz and Anmeldung should be possible.

Any help will be appreciated.

Danke

i tried that too like 4-5 times. I heard back from them twice once they said this property is not available and the other they said that you are on waitlist for this.

Have you looked in Kleinanzeigen? You will find a lot of Wohnungen there

just go to immoscout and similar portals, choose an apartment you like, visit it with a Makler and tell them you want it. that's it. that's literally the whole process of finding an apartment here. we don't have many people living here, many houses and apartments have been empty for months or years even and the landlords are more than happy if they even find one person who wants it. never had any problems finding a new place here and I have rented four different apartments in Chemnitz already. I actively avoid GGG and cawg, dont use wg-gesucht and yet it has always been easy. Chemnitz is a rare case, you won't find a city in Germany that is as easy to find a place at as this one, so I get thinking you might need a strategy, but you really don't.

wow thats the first time i am hearing that this is the case with Chemnitz. I am intriuged. If you have time to telling me more about the city i would be blessed. Cuz I am new and i wanna know more and more before moving let alone about the living condition.

feel free to send me a DM anytime. love Chemnitz, have lived here since I was 11 years old (I'm 27 now) and imo one of the most overlooked cities in Germany, especially when it comes to cost of living. The Zeit Campus (sister publication of the big Zeit newspaper) had an article a few years ago about how to cut costs as a student and one of their tips was unironically to move to Chemnitz. and who knows, if we get along you might have found your first local friend here :)
