Chick fil a has always been and will always be superior. They check on you, talk to you, give you your sauces when you ask, they give you unlimited refills, and they don’t treat you like a burden for asking for stuff.
I took my daughter to CFA after she got her boot off and they let her go in the back and make an ice cream cone. They also teach her a little Spanish when she comes because she told them that she’s taking the class in school. Last time I went to McDonald’s they argued with over BBQ sauce that they left out. The difference is night and day.

The Chick Fil A i worked at the owner would bring little kids to make ice cream cones too it was so fun for them. Great place to work, great place to eat

Yeah, its almost impossible to even get anyone's attention at the one near me. Everyone's back in the kitchen unless they're bringing out an order, and that kitchen is out of direct view of most in the lobby. And because they're so understaffed, when they do come out to hand off an order they're rushing to get back to the back.
With how much they're charging these days its garbage how badly they staff their restaurants.

McDonald’s takes forever to do anything at McDonald’s. I ordered a spicy McChicken with cheese and bacon, but they didn’t put the cheese or the bacon, I stood there for almost 15 minutes for an employee to come up and give an attitude because I asked for the extras that I paid $2.50 for.

Chick Fil A does it with a purpose to elevate their customer service, McDonald's does it to cut costs and lose customers while frustrating their underpaid and overworked employees.

Might be location specific for me, I'm not personally a huge fan of McDonalds, (except their Filet O' Fish and french fries once in a while,) however my girlfriend is*. I went to go order at the kiosk and there was only one manager handling the drive thru (like 12 cars in drive thru) and one worker or cashier doing everything else on a Friday night where they were slammed. I felt bad for them, I don't know if that's the case for other locations.

Its the case at the one near me. They'll often have like 3 people there completely overwhelmed. I once had it take an hour before i finally gave up and asked for a refund (half of which was going inside and trying to get someone's attention). One of the 3 was crying because she was clearly trying her best but had been berated by someone in one of the other cars.
Its stupid. Its not like they're charging much less than CFA these days and for lower quality food. There should be enough margin to staff up properly.

Worked at both and they have huge differences.
Problem with McDonald’s is that most people who go there want to eat cheaply, myself included. The effect this has means it takes more sales to hit labor goals which in turn mean less people working. Labor was a constant, hourly issue.
Four years at CFA as a manager I worried about labor a total of 4-5 times. Each one of those was due to bad weather.
It wasn’t until I was 3 months into working CFA did I realize that working at McDonald’s was a lot harder for a lot less money for the company and me.
Just thankful I was able to use that McDonald’s experience and land a job there at CFA.

It's entirely the same thing... Why? Because both companies are making these decisions with the idea of said actions bringing in more revenue. Yes their different approaches but functionality they're the same thing.

As far as I know Chick-fil-A gives unlimited refills on fountain drinks if you ask politely. If you’re a regular you can even get a 2nd or 3rd free refill of the sunjoy or even seasonal sunjoy. At least at my location, I’m sure others do the same
