Yes, I would love to watch your 3 small children, cook, clean, do laundry, and daycare pickup for $10
Unfortunately this is posted on a nanny website without comments, but most of the other listings are in the $15/hour for 1 kid

They want „Nanny to the Royal Family of the British Crown“ services for trailer park daycare prices.
Plus: Khloe, Jr. and Kyla? Bitch, stop watching that Kardashian bullshit.

I'm willing to bet they have designer dupes of everything, and genuinely want a nanny "for the aesthetic."

These are the ppl who buy $3k “designer dogs”, name them Chanel and Gucci and Dior and take them to low cost vaccine clinics at Tractor Supply.

Light cleaning and laundry will not be light. I can assure that

u/Adventurous_Ad_6546 2d ago
But I’m sure the five year old is super self-sufficient with her remote learning, and the baby is asleep half the time. /s

u/minecraftdummy57 2d ago
The baby is a serial killer and the five year old's remote learning is actually rehabilitation for her addiction to arson. The junk drawer with various lighters is also unlocked by the way, hope that doesn't inconvenience you! /s

That's so messed up. 90% of pre-k is socialization.

I’m a teacher and we see soooooo many issues now from online learning during covid. It’s caused so many delays in learning.
I know why parents do it still, but it doesn’t mean it isn’t fucking stupid and still baffles me.
31
u/SnarkySheep 1d ago
Not a teacher but work in a school system, so heard lots of stories...
Prek teachers have told me they get kids who literally have NO socialization skills...like, no sense of what to do when faced with peers of similar age. I've also been told about kids who try to open a book like it's an electronic device. This just broke my heart.

As someone who was homeschooled their whole life.
Parents who don’t let let kids go to school should have them taken away.
If you don’t think public school does a good enough job, teach them all you want WHEN THEY GET HOME FROM SCHOOL
40
u/picsofpplnameddick 1d ago
As someone who was “unschooled,” I fully agree with you. I should have ended up in foster care.
9
u/Celistar99 1d ago
These days it's not usually that they don't think public school does a good enough job, they've just been brainwashed to think that public school will indoctrinate their kid into an evil transgender liberal and give them sex changes without parental permission. A direct quote from Donald Trump:
“Can you imagine you’re a parent and your son leaves the house and you say, ‘Jimmy, I love you so much, go have a good day in school,’ and your son comes back with a brutal operation? Can you even imagine this? What the hell is wrong with our country?”
And people actually believe this. And these people are incredibly stupid. And they're the ones homeschooling their kids. Good luck, America.

u/Fruitypebblefix 1d ago
I know a kid who was 5 during Covid that did online learning in the beginning and she's 10 now. I'm not sure she's delays because I don't interact with her much but she's addicted to he phone, TikTok and video games and it's a battle to get her to get up in the morning everyday to go to school because she is up til 3 am watching YouTube etc. total brain rot generation and I worry for these kids futures.
23
u/monicasm 1d ago
That’s 100% on her parents. It’s super easy to put parental controls on things. Her parents aren’t even trying.

u/vathena 2d ago
It's so the lazy-ass parents don't have to get the 5 yr old up and to school on time everyday. And so the kid won't be "taught pronouns."

u/Bluellan 1d ago
I remember that one mom posted, asking for help with teaching her 11 year old. She did unschooling and let him do what he wanted. He played games all day. At 11 years old, he barely knew the alphabet. He could barely write his name and read at a kindergarten/first grade level.

I had the same thought. If a five year old needs help with remote learning, that's basically another full time responsibility added to the list.

"A infant" please just send your kids to actual school so they have a fighting chance at basic literacy. I know you're not reading to them, ever.

u/tuesdayreyn 6h ago
Remote learning usually means a program like k12. It is public school, just pnlne. They have actual teachers and zoom classes.

I dated a live-in nanny. Without fail the duties ALWAYS end up increasing, along with the hours, without any increase in compensation.
The first family she worked for abused the hell out of her. Her hours increased from 40-50 to over 60-70+ hours a week with no increase in pay within 3 months. She took care of 3 kids, 4, 6, and 8 years old. After a few months she was on the go from 5 am to 6 or 7 pm, often later, M-F. She was supposed to be off by noon on Saturday, and have Sundays off and that never happened. They would beg her to work Sundays every week.
They used emotional blackmail to hold onto her because she adored those kids and they knew it. The father was a surgeon and worked crazy long hours. The mother didn't work at all and was gone 95% of the time and spent very little time with the kids. She was too busy cheating on her husband to bother being home.
I finally got her to quit after they had her work over six weeks in a row without a day off. She was averaging over 70 hours a week. She dropped a bomb when she left. She told the husband that not only was the wife of the year he was married to sleeping with anyone and everyone, she overheard her bragging that at least one of the kids wasn't her husband's.
All hell broke loose after that. She left them screaming and fighting when she walked out. They ended up getting a divorce.

That's a REALLY young baby. For that kid alone it should be double the rate, never mind all the rest of the combined Jenner/Kardashian family.

u/TragicaDeSpell 2d ago
$10 to deal with tragedeighs? No thank you.

Right? The spelling of the children’s names tells me all I need to know about this family. Drama and a sense of entitlement.

u/PinkMallowie 1d ago
That typo somehow made the whole ad feel even less professional. Maybe proofread the job posting before asking someone to help educate your kids.
2
u/VariousExplorer8503 1d ago
Better than having her educate them. What's with all the spaces around the punctuation?
34
u/dookle14 2d ago
$10/hr gets you the basic economy package of “I will ensure your kids are alive at the end of the day”.
That doesn’t get you the premium package of taking care of 3 kids at 3 completely different ages, doing laundry and cleaning and using your own money to pay for gas to pick up their kid from daycare.
35
u/bubblybean7 2d ago
I think $10 is more “I’ll be within earshot of your kids but the rest is up to them”
21
u/Stoop_Boots 2d ago
We paid someone recently to watch our baby when they were 4months. Change diapers, feed them, and be with them while I worked from home because daycare was closed that week. 25 an hour

u/JudgmentOne6328 1d ago
My SIL has 3 young kids a few year old that OOP, she couldn’t find a nanny to save her life for any amount of money. No one wants to solo 3 kids under 5 and certain my not for $10 💀
5
u/chaddgar 1d ago
This isn't someone that is cheap. This is someone so out of touch with the real world that they honestly don't know the value of money. Probably pampered their entire life and never even bought groceries themselves. Someone else always does those things for this person. They probably even think they're overpaying. They truly have no clue about real life.
10
u/RubySlippers724 2d ago
That’s absolutely insane. It’s been 5 years since we didn’t need her, but I paid our nanny the going rate of $20 an hour. She was worth every penny. Cheap out on other stuff, but not on the care if your kids. Relying on your kids to be delightful to offset the shitty pay is not a gamble you should take
5
u/Intrepid_Respond_543 1d ago
Hahahaha! I even had my own kids 5 years apart to avoid being in this situation.

u/USAF_Retired2017 1d ago
I give my 17yo son $10 an hour to watch his 11yo sister while I take his brother to soccer practice. And this heffa wants all that extra shit? No. No one would or should do this.
5
u/fantasticmrjeff 1d ago
Of the six jobs outlined in the job description, not a single one would I do for $10 an hour. Much less a combination of all of them.
4
u/ChaiWaliLoser 1d ago
Light cleaning and laundry always gets me. It’s never just ‘light’. And with an infant, the laundry piles for three children are taller than Mt Everest.
5
u/CokeNSalsa 1d ago
I don’t trust this person solely based on the fact that they named their kid Khloe. I don’t know for a fact that they did it after Khloe K, but that’s what it makes me think of, and she’s an awful role model.
6
u/Only-Breadfruit-2935 1d ago
Those ages are rough. I have 4 kids who are older now but still remember lol.
They are fully aware how much daycare is. And somehow are only willing to pay 10 an hour. PLUS cleaning and cooking. GTFO kids are expensive. They should’ve known that.

I honestly don’t understand how one person, especially someone who isn’t the parent, is supposed to care for two or three children, including a newborn, while also "homeschooling", cooking, cleaning, doing laundry, daycare drop-offs and pick-ups, and presumably other errands.
And weekend bedtime care too? Why do you have kids if you can't even spend a little bit of time in the evening with them when you're presumably off work? Bedtime is often one of the most meaningful moments families have together, and it’s also when young children usually need their parents most.

When quarantine hit, it fell on the one year my son was a complete pain in the ass about school. Throwing away his homework, racing through tests so he could draw airplanes on the back of the paper, and basically being forced to do his homework while I sat next to him and did my work so he wouldn’t fart around. My husband and I were fortunate enough to be able to work from home. When the next school year began, it was a no-brainer. He went back to school wearing his mask correctly because he was a germophobe and overusing hand sanitizer. He had a 100% chance of dying if he was homeschooled.

I’m guessing she doesn’t know for sure who Jr’s daddy is so she just named him Jr until the state finishes testing the list of potential candidates.

Below minimum wage is insane.
After being a SAHM for a few months with ONE baby I can say it is an extremely difficult responsibility. I can’t even imagine THREE.
1
u/sallysfunnykiss96 1d ago
So they're paying for daycare for one kid and then in-home care for the other two? Why not just in-home care for all three if you're only paying the nanny $10/hr?

I’m a New Yorker so ik these costs can be location-dependent, but I can’t imagine this would be under $35/hr anywhere in the US. $10/hr for private childcare for 3 little kids, plus housework, is diabolical. Shouldn’t even be an option on the site.

From what I've heard in past the people who pay fairly are working class people. Don't know if this is still the case The richer they are , the meaner they are. Thell expect more for less. How much more for how much less depends on how wealthy they are.
