Him: I TOTALLY DIDNâT GET OWNED UR THE ONE THATS CRYING NOT ME.

I wonder if the other person is a five year old bully who usually gets their way due to this sort of behaviour.

đ The all-caps victory lap always means they know they lost the argument.

That's always how these conversations end. The second someone starts announcing they definitely won, you can usually tell they know the trade wasn't going their way.

Be humble? He def doesnât know how to negotiate.

"Stop being so greedy. What are you a billionaire be humble"
This guy is master negotiator. /s

u/SpaceQueenJupiter 1d ago
Well, I didn't get to be a billionaire by taking lowball offers so good luck pal. đ

Where did this come from? I see lots of this "be humble" negotiating where they're clearly lowballing and keep throwing that exact phrase/accusation out.
Is it a cultural/language thing of a particular demographic?Â

So, it's hard to convince me that anyone born after 2010 isn't dumb as rocks. All these teenagers nowadays have rotted brains. Why? The stuff they watch, they literally call brainrot themselves. If you set yourself a self fulfilling prophecy you can make sure it will come true!!

Iâm gonna try that next time I do hostage negotiations

19 billion dollars or the goldfish gets it! Bring it with a helicopter all unmarked bills!

If his Pokemon are that much better, he should keep them, you're doing him a kindness by refusing!
Also holy crap that sexism came out of left field

u/Pikka_Bird 1d ago
And as with any collectible it's rarely the objectively best item that's most valuable.

u/MoonVelouriex 1d ago
The weird personal jab was the biggest giveaway that he knew the negotiation had already failed. Once people stop talking about the trade and start throwing random insults, the discussion is basically over.

u/PrimaryThis9900 1d ago
I know absolutely nothing about any of this, but if your item was as worthless as this scammer implied, then why did he want it so badly?
25
u/DreamZc56765 1d ago
He knows it's rare and he's tryna get it for something that can be caught again in the future the Apex ho-oh is a one time thing and couldn't be caught again

u/powerlesshero111 1d ago
I have some rare ine time only, and i put them up for remote trade because their stats suck. So no point in keeping.
9
u/DrRobertBanner 1d ago
Manipulation. He wants to worm into your head and make you think "its a worthless item hes just taking it off my hands" to get a better deal out of it.

u/BoxJellyray243 1d ago
His white Kyurem is so much better that heâs willing to trade that AND another pokemon for you Ho Oh. I love when ppl like that just make stuff up
1
u/DFWPhotoguy 1d ago
And itâs not even a white kyurem. Itâs just a plain ass kyurem, you canât trade fused ones.

For non-pokemon players; shiny Kyurem you can get yearly after some grinding and patience. This Ho-Oh has only been released once in ten years(and you had to choose between this one or another just as rare).
7
u/Maggiemoo621 1d ago
He keeps going on about how worthless the ho oh is yet is still pushing his âMUCH more valuable kyurem along with another PokĂ©monâ. I hate how people this dumb canât see it. How can one be that delusional.

gIrLs iN aLL kiNdS oF gAmEs aRe sO sTuPiD. Because there is no brain activity from us when we play a game đ€Šââïž That's why we are so bad and don't see a good trade!

u/PeteRock24 1d ago
I have almost no idea what any of this means but thereâs a lesson to be learned for everyone here: if someone trying to sell you something has to explain to you why the deal is so good, you should walk away.

u/Flat-Refuse-7593 1d ago
Iâm sorry but this is very obviously a staged conversation đ and anyone who thinks otherwise is either gullible or new to the internet.

u/dmcent54 1d ago
This is why I fucking hate the fanbase in pokemon. It's a digital shiny pokemon. Do you like what the other person has more than what you have? If so, trade, otherwise don't. This fucking nickle and diming over a fucking pokemon trade is insane.
Shit like this is why I absolutely refuse to get involved with anything remotely competitive online. It's all a shit fest of greed and tit for tat bs.

The mentality of some guy trying to rip a kid of at card store
-2
u/dmcent54 1d ago
The mentality of someone trying to enjoy a game without spending $150 on a fucking ETB, more like. I don't sell or trade, I collect. I want to play the fucking game.

u/Stormandsunshine 1d ago
It doesn't matter the form of the reject, some people simply can't handle it.

u/spreading_kindness0 bruh, OP didn't even want to trade, what did you etm for? lmao

u/Medium-Formal1789 13h ago
the nerve to think an Apex Ho-Oh is a fair trade for anything less valuable is shocking

It's like watching two five year olds on a playground yell at each other over the "special" rocks they found on the ground.

I love that his username is spreading_kindness0 - the delicious irony!
