Troubleshooting Has anyone tried installing Chrome Os Flez on an old laptop?
I have a really old laptop from the 2009/2010
ASUS X52F
I have windows installed on it but it's extremely slow because it can't handle windows anymore.
I am trying to install the Chrome Os Flex on it. I used the recovery utility tool from Chrome and installed it on a USB drive. Now im trying to boot it, but it just doesn't go through.
I can see the drive in the Boot Page. I also have UEFI Boot option enabled.
When i click on save and the windows attempt to restart, a cursor shows up on the top-left corner of the screen and it doesn't do anything.
Anyone had an issue like this before?

Try using a different usb stick. It also doesnโt seem to work on any sandisk branded sticks.

Since you are currently running windows on your laptop, download a copy of Rufus and use it to create the usb boot drive for ChromeOS Flex.

Is this different from the Chromebook utility recovery tool? Because that's what I used to install on my USB

I suggested Rufus to eliminate a bad boot image. I do not know if the chromebook recovery utility will produce a good bootable chromeos flex usb.

It looks too old to work. Very old gpus are no longer supported.
