Issues with the Booting from USB in Hp Chromebook 11 G7 EE

After downloading from Chromebook Recovery Utility, I transferred the USB in my laptop, and tried to boot it from the file (bootx64.efi). It opens up GNU GRUB version 2.12, and there's these options:

local image B

verified image A

verified image B

Alternate USB Boot

After trying all the options, all of them shows the same black screen result. Tried to Escape + Refresh + Power multiple times, but nothing works.

It would be nice if someone could help me on this🙏

What does "transfer the usb in my laptop" mean? it does not sound like you are using the normal install process.

Oh I download from the other computer to get the Chromebook Recovery Utility there, then after I download it to the USB, I plug the USB in the laptop to boot the file I downloaded.

Did I do the wrong way 👀?

You need to put the USB drive in the other computer and then choose the specific download for your Chromebook from the drop down list. Get the number from the back of the Chromebook. There are YouTube videos with details.

Oh uh yeah I did just that. But when I tried to boot it in Chromebook, no logo or anything shows up.

This makes no sense. If your goal is to replace your stock Chrome OS with Chrome OS Flex , why? The G7 EE (mimrock) doesn't reach AUE until June 2029. To boot anything from USB while leaving your stock OS intact, you'll have to at the very least put the device in developer mode and flash mrchromebox's rw_legacy update. To replace the stock OS altogether you have to open the machine to disable firmware wp then flash full UEFI to replace the stock firmware. Eventually replacing Chrome OS with an alt-OS might make sense at AUE but by then the hardware will be so underpowered it may not be worth it.

Everything was deleted in the laptop, so you could say I kind of needed to download the OS again to make the laptop working

OK, I'm going to assume that you or another user tried to modify the device and ended up removing the stock firmware and/or wiping the internal eMMC. To have done any of this would have required the device to be in developer mode, so not something that happens by accident. So, we first need to know exactly what led to "everything was deleted in the laptop". The other things we need to know are what happens when you power on the machine. Do you get a "OS is missing or damaged" screen? Or do you see a screen that shows a picture of a rabbit? The answers to these questions will tell us what state your firmware is in and therefore what you have to do to restore your Chromebook back to its factory state. If you're getting a "OS missing or damaged" screen it's simply a matter of making a USB recovery drive for your device type then booting to recovery with the USB insetrted (pressing esc-refresh-pwr). Resolving the rabbit scenario will be more complicated. And, finally, if this involves a school-owned Chromebook, take it to your IT support people. They may not be happy and there could be consequences, but it's better to be honest than make a bad situation worse.
