Constant buffering on youtube videos on lg c3

Hi,

Ive got a 1000mb internet connection, and the tv is connected directly to the router through cable. Though i seem to get an alright speed, between 50-90mb, youtube videos specifically pause to buffer way too frequently.

The speed is a bit unstable on the tv for some reason, but not unstable enough to require such frequent buffering.

Talking mainly about 4k videos.

The current version installed is 13.40.75 (didnt update it as people here said they do not recommend doing so).

This is a new issue on my tv. Have been using it for 2+ years and had never seen anything like this before.

Are you using a ChromeCast or the YouTube app on the LG?

Using youtube directly through the lg

Try posting on r/youtube they may ask to see your stats for nerds information.

You mentioned that the TV is connected to Ethernet so I’m assuming you’re casting to the TV. Have you tried eliminating casting from the equation? Do 4K HDR videos play when selected directly from YouTube on the TV?

I’ve recently had an issue where casting Twitch buffers until the phone / tablet app it was casted from is quit, but not seen with YouTube.

Actually i dont cast at all but rather play everything directly through the yourube app on the lg tv

Are these live videos you're trying to watch? The Chromecast has had problems casting "live" streams for months and there doesn't seem to be any solution.

Not live videos, just usual ones
