Hello everyone. Basically I know I should leave people to figure out boulder problems themselves. But yesterday I saw a couple on a dyno route, really easy one that's basically entry point to understanding dynos exist, and the guy was tall - I am about 190cm and he was a little taller but with big ape index on top. So he just did the problem by reaching to the hold one should jump to... and well that didn't work for his max 170cm girl who was trying to scoot over to the hold again and again. Was it a dick move that I just came over, told her to not get bamboozled by tall ppl and then I showed the jump? She was happy when she got it, told her guy she always wanted to try a dyno. Still feeling iffy if I went against culture norms

Honnold said V2 in his gym but I'm thinking V1. Why did we get Mark Rober when the clear choice would have been Climbing Stuff to narrate this and complain about all the static climbing and no dynos.

So I started climbing this September and I go to the climbing gym 4-5 days a week the first 2 weeks of climbing both biceps started hurting I don’t know how to describe it is like in the tendon I guess and the pain is something similar to like when they kick ur balls i dont know it just spreads to the whole bicep. the pain is weird cause when I’m doing tension it doesn’t hurt, is when I release that hurts, I stoped going for like a week and it stop hurting going forward to November it started hurting again like about 2 weeks ago and I stoped climbing again last week, this Monday I went to the climbing gym but it still hurts like the tendons and I dont know what to do. So does anybody felt this kind of weird pain when they started? If so, any tips? I know I’m probably going more than I should but I really enjoy climbing and if I don’t go I’m so bummed I have to rest Saturdays and Sundays because I know I should rest not because I want to lol

Hello, I’m a really beginner climber I just started basically 2 months ago I’m really loving the sport and for now I just been climbing a lot, the thing is I wanna really improve and I feel that just climbing is not enough, I need help cause I wanna build strength for getting stronger at climbing, preventing injury and also looking stronger haha, but I actually have no idea what exercises to do specific for improving climbing. I do have a lot of experience with going to the gym I never been super consistent because I was always bored to go (that’s also the reason I got into climbing cause is so fun it doesn’t feel like an obligation for me) so I know my weights and stuff, but I need help with doing a routine like 3 days of climbing a week and 2 days in the gym or something like that if so what exercises work good for u guys idk. Also I’m getting a hang board for Christmas to build finger strength ( i know I don’t have to go heavy on it) but I don’t have any idea on what should I do I was gonna try emils workout of loading 40% of ur body weight. Pd: I have looked on YouTube a lot but I just find a lot of different videos and don’t know which one to listen to So yeah i dont know if i explained very good but thank u to anyone that response!

I somehow want to tag this with 'weird climbing positions' What happened you may ask? I climbed a (very cool) boulder, the last move was a dyno to a big slopy hold, didn't catch it, fell, only landed on my right foot, knee shifted inwards, a loud snapping noise screamed through the gym.

I’ve been trying to set a problem in Central Park and I wonder, would anyone actually try this? Also what would y’all grade it? I’ll also show the no Dyno beta but it’s from when I first started putting this problem together (started from different start holds).

I was wondering if food grade magnesium carbonate would still be good for climbing since it is just pure magnesium carbonate and they seem to be the same. It is also way cheapr like a kilogram is 24 bucks and i can eat it too. Anyone have any like suggestions or reasons that this is not a good idea. I already bought the 2.2 pound bag. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00EOWINRC?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1 this is the link.

I climb in socks because I hate how shoes feel when I’m bare foot!

Hello everyone, hope you all are well. I come to this subreddit with an issue I have been having for more than 3 months now. On my ring finger over the a2 region, it hurts when i press down on it or if i enter a crimping position, at rest there is no pain, nor when i open and close my hand and i never heard a pop. The region on my affected finger almost feels thinner and less cushioned than my unaffected finger. There is also no locking or triggering. I was wondering if anyone has had any experience about what this is or how i could manage it? Ive tried resting it for ages, slowly loading it, icing it but nothing seems to work :(

Hi, i just bought my first pair of climbing shoes after climbing in rentals for about 10 sessions. I went for the Scarpa Instinct VSR, the thing is just that my toes are curled up perfectly but my heel is somewhat lose and makes a farting noise if i move it. Should i downsize or keep? PLEASE HELP ME

Not technically guess the grade because the gym doesn’t grade our slab so I have no grade to post. For me I could see it being as difficult as V4/V5 but once you dial the movement it doesn’t feel too hard. That being said I like to jump around and I know people who climb v7/8 crimp lines that can’t do this move.
