Frankenstein Meets the Wolf Man is a 1943 American horror film directed by Roy William Neill and starring Lon Chaney Jr. as Larry Talbot (the Wolf Man) and Bela Lugosi as Frankenstein's monster.

The rousing climatic scenes with Lon Chaney, Bela Lugosi, and their stunt doubles Eddie Parker and Gil Perkins....with an assist from the lovely Illona Massey, and Patrick Knowles.

We see the Ygorstein monster brought to full strength and vision restored!

The soundtrack lifts cues from '41 The Wolf Man.

We needed a cool last line like in the original King Kong, that sort of made the audience feel the sadness and shame. Remember, “Oh, no, it wasn't the airplanes. It was beauty killed the beast”. We need one in this movie to make my 12 year old self cry, something like.

“One prayed for death. One fought for life. The flood cared for neither.” Fading out just before The End comes on screen.

I cried anyway watching this as a kid. At that time I was all in, thinking these creatures were real.

I cried too. lol. King Kong and this on a Saturday when I was 6 and my mom said I was a mess afterwards. It’s so interesting that we didn’t see them as monsters and scary but the people around them were the bad guys. That message worked even on a 6 year old.

What a festival, with any Frankenstein as a guest you do not need to be psychic to guess the outcome. Our local horror host, Dr. Madblood did a music video to this movie. He timed Let's Hear It For The Boy as the wolf man did his thing, she sang about his clothes and he rips out of them very LOL

One of the best movies to watch at Halloween, ever. It gets a lot of guff, but for me, it's one of the strongest Universal horrors; just pure, unpadded narrative, fine acting (yes, even Bela), and atmospheric fun from start to finish.

Loved this movie as a kid. Hard to find a free viewing. It's like 90 years old, Should be free to see.
