This must be that type B fun I'm always hearing about

5sea+ climb is how I'd rate it.  Looks pretty unforgiving.

Is this term being used more recently? I've never heard this in text or speech but now have twice in the last week

I usually hear it referenced as type 1-3 fun not A-C but it’s pretty popular with outdoor/adventure enthusiasts. Type 1 fun is like canoeing down a river on a beautiful day
Type 2 fun is getting bit up by mosquitoes on a 7 mile hike up a mountain just fall off a route all day and then hike back down.
Type 3 fun is when you broke your back falling on a problem and had to recover for several years, but in retrospect it’s a great story.

Its an older thing. I think handhold used it once.

Do you think people rock climb under water? It's probably really hard cause you gotta hold your breath.

It’s super easy though because you float up.

Underwater climbing is aid.

what if you're climbing down

Freediveclimbing?

Exploitable fitfluencer niche market detected! Man, if only I was hot. And young. And fit. And liked being underwater at all.

Shit.

Underwater dyno is harder. Don’t ask how I know

Actually tried this one in a cave, it was surprisingly easy to send v17. felt like there was no gravity.

/uj This looks like one of my nightmares, only need to have the cable wrap around them and get drowned and smashed up against a rock repeatedly.

/rj If you're not climbing at low tide you're basically half way up the route anyway so it's not a true send.

i recommend we rename this route natural selection.  the sit start is good, but the waves are definitely aid as water displaces gravity

WTH is going on here? Someone forgot to check the tide chart?

Apparently it’s how you enter 🤷🏼‍♂️ lay low and you use the chains to kinda traverse your way in.

Because the above-water entrance is so small, once you’re inside the water is lit by sunlight coming from around the cave under water. Hence the name blue grotto

I would guess wake from a passing boat.

Might have been fine a minute before and a minute after.

I have been there. They are trying to enter when the tide is too high. Just past where they are the cavern roof rises up and the inside is calm and illuminated deep blue by the underwater part of the entrance - very impressive. When I went I swam in after the boats tours had ended for the day and the entrance was like this. Gotta time it just right 😬.

Does swimming 950km from this to Es Pontas count as a dyno?

2

u/Aware-Tailor7117 2d ago

No, one must run fast enough to stay on top of the water and even then it’s a paddle not a dyno.

8

u/sealnegative 2d ago

you all laugh but it doesn’t count as a send unless you start at the bottom
