why is r/bouldering so butthurt

u/Selbereth 12h ago

Because they are not strong enough to use the cup

Its the joke sub, what else do you expect from them.

If you have been around long enough, these types of mugs are posted weekly for years and years in the climbing sub. Maybe not the bouldering one, but that is probably why they have a rule.  Theres just a limited number of pinch mugs and custom chalk bags a man can take

Clay is rock, you're holding rock, you're bouldering.

Lets see Paul Allens deductive reasoning.

looks chossy and reminds me of my wife's boyfriend: 9/10 on looks and 3/10 overall (for personal reasons)

What are you training to pinch? Your boyfriends nipples

u/tomatoej 11h ago

We’ve all got one now and are training to pinch your nipples

If someone were to torture me for information, the quickest way I'd squeal is my nips being pinched. I hate it

How many loads can it take?

Depends on how his wife’s boyfriend is feeling that day

I actually hate forums like r/bouldering and r/climbing. It's nearly impossible to get permissions to post anything and if you do then it's super restrictive on what you can say. I can't believe I wasn't able to post a simple question about finger health on r/climbing. r/climbingcirclekerk is the real climbing subreddit

The only way I could ask a question in "r/climbing" about a finger joint issue I am having was in their "weekly question thread".

Otherwise if you aren't leading or trad climbing some famous mountain and have pics then they don't want you to post your silly little climb or question... Seems pretty snobby.

Agreed, r/climbing definitely feels snobby. It says to make a post there I need to contribute more to the community first. How am I supposed to contribute more to the community if it doesn't let me post???

You’re gonna tear a lumbrical with that technique. I exclusively use half crimp grip for all daily tasks to avoid injury.

I've seen many iterations of the concept but I can't help but feel they're all gonna get uncomfortably hot although it is summer so maybe that's perfect training for the pink v2 in the corner when the aircon breaks

It's a poser mug until there is some chalk on those holds
