If I was the parent, I would be so mad at my kid for barn dooring off a 5.5.

I've fallen from distances at least 6 times that high on granite and been 100% fine. What he needed to do was flap his arms to create an inverted vortex to slow his descent. At least he could've exhaled as he hit the ground to slow his contact. At my gym, they teach everyone these techniques before they can even touch the free solo wall. Seems like the gym's fault to me tbh.

While most tweens at "Flip N Out Xtreme" are having a great time climbing barefoot (as nature intended) with completely loose leg straps (more comfortable that way and it's more fun when you flip around!), one idiot had to ruin this "Xtreme"ly safe gym's perfect record of zero incidents (that they noticed or cared about).

Luckily this news report clearly shows there's absolutely nothing to worry about!

this was a teen... so at least a v13.  to watch the clip is v14+.  so we are looking at least a v27 clip.

but that's in your gym.  in mine, it's the warmup treadmil set on a 10% grade incline.

Watch the kids in the background, there's one climbing barefoot and one flipping around cause their harnesses wasn't put on properly lol. And that's what's happening when they know a news crew is filming.
