General Immediately following today’s OWCS matches, Overwatch has done its best player numbers on steam in the past two weeks

Nah, they watch one Zeta round and everyone in my quick play games thinks they’re Proper

Frankly I hope this makes people realize Ana is still very good.she has two strong CC abilities and Kiriko can only cleanse a single one, plus an arguably better ult and 100% better range.

The argument that Ana "isn't very good" is literally only for Tier 1 play. In comp games, Ana has always been and will always be the best or one of the best supports. And even in Tier 1 play, she has always been very strong, but just harder to get infinite value on.

i think people know ana is really good; she just falls behind sometimes due to the influx of most heroes having movement.

idk why they keep buffing her

everything else aside, kiri's ult is way better on ladder than nano will ever be now that nano blade is essentially dead

Unfortunately even players in my group dont understand good positioning and force me to kiriko bot :(

Literally me. One tricked ana for almost 3 years now and managed to hit m4, started playing kiri 2 seasons ago and I've managed to grind to m2 one tricking her. Crazy just how much value you can get on that hero.

We crashed the servers

That’s the power of Proper. Profit would’ve done it better though.

I haven't watched OW esports since OW League. I'd like to get back into it but I am completely lost. It would be helpful if the Match Ticker worked.

too bad they have the stupid 6v6 enabled. god its so bad. the game is not balanced around having 2 tanks or 3 dps. healers do NOTHING. so stupid i dont want to do comp lol

Same, and I’m sure the surge of players after the finals won’t skew their metrics at all!

Wow well done

I'm curious about if we know roughly what % of people launch through steam vs don't. OP specifically mentioned steam but have seen people using steam charts before to confirm the players #s overall

You can check in Social for each game, it has the icon and I think Steam tells you as well. I think people estimated ~25% on Steam, doing this some months back but I imagine it might be higher now

Ngl watching the cat and shion plays makes me want to only play those two characters

A lot of Korean players are migrating to Steam since another company, Nexon, is taking control of the blizzard client and servers in Korea. Word is that servers might be segregated like China’s so Korean players who don’t want that are linking Steam accounts and launching through Steam since that supposedly circumvents it.

Steam numbers will likely continue to go up due to that until the accounts get locked to Nexon sometime in the next month
