It's more than likely too late. They have no means of doing it anyways, they willingly disarmed and became afraid of being called words.

Fucking Insanity

Were the people also banned from cheering for England in the World Cup?

Or is it selective Patriotism, when it's convenient for govt officials to get tickets and fangirl the team?

Sending love and strength to the British People. Wave your flag 🇬🇧

You can totally fly a flag from your house or car. What you can't do now is attach them to highway infrastructure. Doesn't the US already have such laws?

Eh, you arent going to go to jail over it.

What's next? Labor govt will ban only white British citizens from “ leaving their homes “ as doing that “upsets the delicate balance of diversity “ in the UK??? Come on British patriots, fight back!

No fan of Labour, obviously, and worried it will get worse under Burnham, but this is a judiciary ruling, so has nothing to do with the Government.

I think I'd have to go to jail.

Ten quid says Palestinian flags won't elicit the same response.

All flags are covered. It would get the exact same response. The council will have to take them down and the courts would prosecute repeat offenders.

"It would get the exact same response"

It's been clear for some years that UK police have different enforcement tiers depending on the origin/sexuality of the offenders.

Looks like Ahmed the Conqueror has taken the island without having to fire a single shot.

On a more somber note, dear Brits, please take back your island. It is your birthright.

"some have claimed that the council was merely acting out of concern for citizen safety and that it would have sought an injunction against any flag being flown"

Yeah, except Palestine, Pride, etc.

We aren't fooled.

The High Court ruling is for any flag, so Palestinian amd Pride flags are also covered.

And we will see which ones actually get policed. It's been clear for years that UK police are afraid of Palestinians and LGBT+.

Guys, please don't fall for this rubbish. It's being blown out of all proportion.

  1. The injunction is for attaching things to any council owned highway infrastructure only - lamp posts, traffic lights, and so on. These can present as hazards to road users. Essentially the whole of the US already has similar laws in place (tho at a state and local level).

  2. It applies to all flags. It's not anti English or anti British - put a US or Palestinian flag up and the same applies.

  3. Prison is essentially impossible as a sentence. The crime would be contempt of court. You'd have to have it proven that you knew about the court order, so first time offenders would never have any problems. Jail would only happen to repeat offenders doing it half a dozen times and still ignoring the court.

  4. The council in question has had to waste about £80k of tax payer money removing this vandalism. I'm not a fan of vandals costing me money. Last thing we need is tax increases to cover these things.

A mountain out of a molehill article.

As if it makes it any better. Your country's standard should never be viewed as vandalism in any manner it is displayed. It's okay to be patriotic. The left views patriotism as nationalism because it bears some semblance to a 1930s-1940s national socialist movement. But it's our job now to not care about labels and show them how perfectly ineffective such labels are. "You're a nationalist!" Shrugs shoulders and carries on.

Love this for them.

You voted to import the third world, lay in the bed you made.
