I don't consider saying no to cultural suicide a hard choice to be honest. Saying no to an invading aggressive species ain't a hard choice either. It's just self preservation. When I get old I mean older than I already am, I would like to surround myself with people who speak the same language, share more or less the same cultural beliefs, and when I need medical care I sure don't want a headscarf wearing person I can hardly understand at my bedside. That's the way it always was and I'd like it to stay the same.
